Palestinians: Chemical warfare if Israel invades Gaza
WND ^ | June 26, 2006 | Aaron Klein

Posted on 06/27/2006 2:48:32 PM PDT by Nachum

JERUSALEM – If Israel launches a ground assault in the Gaza Strip, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group will attack Israelis with chemical and biological weapons the group has developed, according to a pamphlet distributed yesterday by the Brigades.

But sources in the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, speaking on condition of anonymity, said while the group is attempting to acquire biological and chemical agents, their current capabilities in the field still are mostly primitive.

"With the help of Allah, we are pleased to say that we succeeded in developing over 20 different types of biological and chemical weapons, this after a three-year effort," said the Al Aqsa statement, which was released yesterday and made national headlines here today.

"We say to (Prime Minister Ehud) Olmert and (Defense Minister Amir) Peretz: Your threats of invasion do not frighten us. We will surprise you with new weapons you have not faced until now. As soon as an IDF soldier sets foot on Gazan land, we will respond with a new weapon."

The group claimed it was working to add chemical and biological agents to missiles that are regularly launched from the Gaza Strip aimed at nearby Jewish communities.

The Al Aqsa Brigades, the declared "resistance wing" of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah party, is responsible for scores of suicide bombings, shooting attacks and rockets launched from Gaza.

Israeli security officials told WND Al Aqsa's claim of developing more than 20 kinds of chemical and biological agents is "rhetoric." They said Israel has information the group in the past has conducted low-level experiments adding some kinds of chemicals, including cyanide, to suicide belts, but that Palestinian groups currently don't have "serious" chemical or biological capabilities.

They also said Palestinian terror groups currently do not have capabilities to add chemical or biological agents to missiles but that there was a fear some countries, particularly Iran, may be assisting in such efforts.

Sources in the Al Aqsa Brigades told WND the group was experimenting with chemical agents. They claimed they currently have in their weapons arsenal certain agents that can be thrown or shot at civilians in canisters, but they declined to name the specific agents.

One Al Aqsa source said the group's work in Gaza so far has been limited mostly to Al Aqsa members who are studying chemistry at local universities where biological agents are not available and chemical agents are limited.

They said "outside parties" were helping the group add agents to missiles, but would not comment on the current status of the program or name the outside parties.

Palestinian terror groups in the past have discussed adding chemical and biological agents to suicide bomb belts. Mahmoud Abu Tir, a Hamas legislator, was arrested by Israel in the early 1990s and accused of plotting to poison Israeli water supplies.

In a recent WND interview, Abu Tir refused to confirm or deny he was involved in the plot. In 2002, Israeli security forces foiled a plan by Hamas to poison the soda fountain in a popular Jerusalem cafe.

Minimal yeild tactical nukes have existed for decades. The "briefcase" nukes the Soviets made in the 70s/80s were minimal possible yeild nuke devices.

And before you call Israel using their nukes moronic, please consider this. Which is more moronic? Using a nuclear device in RETALIATION because the Palstinian Squatters used Chem and Bio weapons against Israel FIRST, killing tens or hundreds of thousadns, or MILLIONS of Jews, thus wiping out most of the Palestinians who just wiped out most of the Israelis, or is it more moronic allowing the Palestinian Squatters to do that, and get away with it without Israel retaliating in kind.

It's mini-MAD. It's no different than during the Cold War the U.S. stating that it would launch it's entire arsenal at the Soviet Union, wiping out ALL the russian leaders and military force, if they launched a pre-emptive strike on us. Would that have been moronic? Would the smart thing have been to let the Soviets literally destroy America and 280+ million Americans and just let them go on to rule the rest of the world? I don't think so.

On a personal level, assuming there are no police to call and no lawyers and no home owners associations, etc, jsut you and your neighbor, okay? If your crazy neighbor gets in his car and tears your whole yard up with doughnuts, then smiles and waves, are you going to just smile and nod and say "thank you sir, may I have another?" Or are you going to get in your car, and do the same to his? It's a question of drawing a line in the sand and stating this far and nofurther, OR ELSE! And if the Palestinians want to use their Chem and Bio weapons against Israel, Israel has an OBLIGATION to use their nuclear deterrant to retaliate in kind. Tit for tat, and if it comes to it, yes, eye for an eye. And if that means there are some blind people, then sobeit. You can only run from the school yard bully for so long. Eventually, in this world, you just have to stand and fight. So it's not moronic at all.

Iran, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and possibly Saudi Arabia will all attack.

Israel knows this, and the rest know that if a WMD is popped, the gloves are off and the Samson option can be put into action. Israel will leave the Middle East a smoking ruin.

And then the terrorist crops in those countries will be culled for decades, we can help Israel rebuild however they need, and there will be plenty of oil for America's SUV's. Works for me.

well at least we know where some of Saddam's WMD wound up...

Exactly what I thought when I read ... will attack Israelis with chemical and biological weapons the group has developed

To be exact, I thought 'developed my arse'. Being a Conservative I am sure you know that we found 500 chemical weapons, plus enriched uranium, radio active materials, Nuclear devices, a couple of mobile weapons labs, our troops have been hit with a couple chemical road side bombs, and there is captured documentation that shows Hussein's intent.

Just a reminder that every major Intelligence Agency in the world said he had WMDs (this include the KGB, MI6, Interpol, and the Mossad). Heck, everybody in the Demoratic Party said he had WMDs in the 90s. Don't believe them now when the rats say there are no WMDs. As you and I know the rats are playing pure politics and at the wrong time.

In any case, Hussein had WMDs. So that means they are out there. I don't know this to be true. It is just a rumor but I have heard that around the time we told Hussein to leave town, some trucks left Baghdad and headed for the Syria border. At the same time, a small town on the Syrian border suddenly had a lot of military activity (Syrian Soldiers). Later I heard that the Israeli's were claiming that the WMDs were in the Bekaa Valley. I don't know that to be true, like I said. But I do think that it is very probable that Saddam's WMDs are now in Palestine (and his nuclear tech is in Iran).

I understand the need to keep the finding of WMDs under raps. We could say we found them but it wouldn't be prudent to say where we found them. See the link below that talks about Iraq insurgents searching for the WMDs. Apparently, they believe WMDs exist too.

every time I hear some Leftie make the claim "ohhh, they were 'old WMD' so they don't count."
Well I wonder if these same Lefties would have a problem with us storing these "old WMD" in their garages? LMAO

Now is the time for the IDF to bomb these savages until the Gaza Strip is nothing but cinders. It's not going to get any better when these insane Muslims get chemical and bio weapons.

Yeah, like mustard gas!.

Maybe the sand nazis even have some left over Zyklon B!.

It would be all over for the subhumans if they went down that road.

I don't think Israel will take very kindly to Jews being gassed.

Armageddon nears and the Palis are not aware that they are toast if they use WMDs. Their capture of an Israeli soldier the other day portends a big IDF response.

Having WMD's is bad enough, but with their track record of work accidents, you'd think they'd steer clear of them.

They do have a death wish... and they don't seem to care who dies as long as somebody does.

Is that the correct alignment of APC and tanks? Shouldn't they be more spread out?

I'm no tactician, just wondering aloud. Lining them up like that wouldn't make them more vulnerable to anti-tank fire?

Chemical weapons require a lot of technology and skill to use effectively without killing your own people. Besides, I am not sure Israel would choose to NOT use some of their nukes if it comes down to that.

Who needs nukes?

Once Israel cuts off the southern border with Egypt, the Palestinians in Gaza are as trapped as goldfish in a bowl.
