'Bomb belt' sparks Sweden alert
BBC ^

Swedish police evacuated buildings and blocked off streets in Tensta, a suburb of Stockholm, after a man was spotted wearing a suspected bomb belt.

"The man was reported as having some kind of explosive on a belt round his stomach," a police spokesman said.

Police, who have not said if the device is real, say the man claims he was kidnapped three days ago and that someone else put the belt on him.

One witness told Swedish media the man had been seen sitting crying.

"He behaved in a weird way and just sat there crying," Jasser Mohammed Ali, who works at a nearby shop, told Swedish news agency TT.

"He has something around his waist and in his hand."

A bomb squad unit is at the scene, police said.

All surrounding buildings in the northern suburb have been evacuated and large parts of the area cordoned off.

This is a publicity stunt for "24" because the producers announced at the Heritage Foundation event that next season's terrorists would be Swedish.

I don't see how the Swedish Bikini Team could hide a bomb belt.

Killing of pizza deliveryman with necklace bomb still unsolved
FBI claims 'promising' leads in neck-bomb death two years ago

Sunday, August 28, 2005
By Jonathan D. Silver, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Two years after an Erie pizza delivery man robbed a bank and then was killed when a bomb clamped to his neck exploded, the FBI has made no arrests in the bizarre and complex case but has developed "promising" leads following more than 1,000 interviews, the agent overseeing the investigation said.

While he sat handcuffed begging to have the cuffs removed so that he might try to remove the device. Yup...I remember.

When I read this I immediately thought of the pizza guy. It's entirely possible he's telling the truth.
