an unemployed gynecologist. stay at home mom.
dad had all the $$$'s, this is a different culture than we are used to.
She ought to update her license, and get to work and forget about the well, whatever he is.
He ain't worth the effort it takes to have.
Our nation does not protect stay at home moms, they don't look at their work as worthwhile, thanks to women like Gloria Steinem.

How can she be broke and living in a shelter if she's a gynecologist? She can always open an abortion clinic.

She would need to get all her certifications/licenses/insurance along with ongoing educational requirements in order to start her practice again. That will take time maybe 6 months.
I think she could go to an number of medical organizations who would spot he startup costs she has option just a tough transition time.
