Khobar Towers The Clinton administration left many stones unturnd.
BY LOUIS J. FREEH Sunday, June 25, 2006 12:01 a.m.
Ten years ago today, acting under direct orders from senior Iranian government leaders, the Saudi Hezbollah detonated a 25,000-pound TNT bomb that killed 19 U.S. airmen in their dormitory at Khobar Towers in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The blast wave destroyed Building 131 and grievously wounded hundreds of additional Air Force personnel. It also killed an unknown number of Saudi civilians in a nearby park.
The 19 Americans murdered were members of the 4,404th Wing, who were risking their lives to enforce the no-fly zone over southern Iraq. This was a U.N.-mandated mission after the 1991 Gulf War to stop Saddam Hussein from killing his Shiite people. The Khobar victims, along with the courageous families and friends who mourn them this weekend in Washington, deserve our respect and honor. More importantly, they must be remembered, because American justice has still been denied.
Although a federal grand jury handed up indictments in June 2001--days before I left as FBI director and a week before some of the charges against 14 of the terrorists would have lapsed because of the statute of limitations--two of the primary leaders of the attack, Ahmed Ibrahim al-Mughassil and Abdel Hussein Mohamed al-Nasser, are living comfortably in Iran with about as much to fear from America as Osama bin Laden had prior to Sept. 11 (to wit, U.S. marshals showing up to serve warrants for their arrests).

Behold..the legacy of Bill Clinton. As the former FBI director writes, Clinton was more interested in ginning up money for his self-serving library than in bringing to justice those who murdered our U.S. airmen. Clinton & Co. were (and still are) America's enemy within. God Bless the 4404th Air Wing victims, the survivors and their families.

Ten years ago today, acting under direct orders from senior Iranian government leaders That's an act of war.
To: DogByte6RER; All
So for 30 months, I wrote and rewrote the same set of simple talking points for the president, Mr. Berger, and others to press the FBI's request to go inside a Saudi prison and interview the Khobar bombers. And for 30 months nothing happened. The Saudis reported back to us that the president and Mr. Berger would either fail to raise the matter with the crown prince or raise it without making any request. On one such occasion, our commander in chief instead hit up Prince Abdullah for a contribution to his library. Mr. Berger never once, in the course of the five-year investigation which coincided with his tenure, even asked how the investigation was going. Unadulterated scum.

The Clintons only foreseen and noted enemy was and is that vast right wing conspiracy. They installed the 'wall builders' for their own personal and political protection.
Mr. Freeh's remembrance of the result of the destructive, we can do it better mentality, is a good thing. However, there was NO apparent need to leak all this classified wall building intel during the implementation of said walls.
That Soviet style Jersey gal production and promotion called the 911 Commission was nothing more than a whitewashing of that destructive wall built under the direction of the Clintons. An attempt to hide liberalism/Clintonism, and point an accusing finger of lies to the present Bush administration.
Now where were the liberal Times (east and west coast) informing US about all the data mining, one such project called Able Danger, during Clintonism?

Incredibly informative article, thank you.
The president told the Saudis and the 19 victims' families that I was responsible for the case.
Reading between the lines and recalling former CIA Director Woolsey's minimal contact with Clinton, I take it this is how Freeh discovered he was responsible.
Mr. Berger never once, in the course of the five-year investigation which coincided with his tenure, even asked how the investigation was going.
What Mr. Clinton failed to do for three years was accomplished in minutes by his predecessor.

Freeh also promoted the man who gave the shoot to kill orders at Ruby Ridge.
He seemed offended at having to demote the man who sent over the 900 plus FBI files, if I recall correctly from the hearings.
Freeh was in that spot because he was dirty.
His after the fact defense of himself stinks, IMO.

His actions as FBI Chief appear to have been to cave in to Clintin just enough to keep his job. He certainly never made a stand.

Began reading his book but it was so disgustingly self serving that I returned it to the library without getting to the end.

Hmmm "Louie" is doing his best to cast a more favorable light on his own (FBI's) nasty legacy...
OTOH, this may help us understand the USG's reticence (refusal) to consider the facts of midddle eastern involvement in OKC...
IMHO, Clinton(s), Berger, Gorelick, Reno, Hubbell and Freeh -- plus several high level FBI & DOJ pukes -- belong under the jail.

I see we have similarly "high" opinions of Louie-Louie...
I formed my opinion of Freeh and his "Fumbling Bums" during several years of intense research on the Murrah bombing -- that revealed and documented their (gross mis-) handling of that crime scene, evidence, and investigation. :-(

The true stories about the Clinton adm. need to get out more and more as we approach 08. They will be buried by the drive-bys, it will become and is our job.
