In using Google Earth to look at the Dalien Shipyards and other places in Red China, I was able to find these pictures. Given time, one could find a lot more regarding PLAN bases and PLAAF bases, or any other fixed locations.
Dalien Naval Shipyard Pictures (Varyag Aircraft Carrier, Typre 51C DDG, and others):
PLAN Submarine Base Pictures (SSBN, several SSN and SS...and an entrance to an underground facility):

Or maybe, work with Google Earth (fat chance) and feed deliberate mis-information about our bases. Most of the information could be checked and corrected with a portable GPS set, a laser rangefinder, (both available at WalMart (and probably both made in China) and a little spherical trig, maybe a boat in some cases. It would be close enough for targeting purposes anyway. Unlike the Soviets/Russians and the Red Chinese, our bases are pretty open and public.

How bigs is she? How many aircraft can she tote? What age ie she? He. He's a Russian ship.
Although I don't know if the Chinese call their ships "he" or "she", the Russians call them "He".

As for the quality of the images, our surveillance satellites can look down at that flattop and tell how many dimsum are left on the captain's plate. Not quite, but close, on a very good "seeing" day.

If such images are available to the public, imagine what our military has.... These are military, more or less, just not ours. They are Russian images taken by a Russian satellite, and sold to anyone, anyone, with hard cash, (No rubles please)

Did you know that our government was stupid enough to invite Chinese military personnel onboard our ships during our recent Pacific naval exercises? That sort of thing has always been done. But rest assured they saw what we wanted them to see, nothing more.

Our citizenry has become distracted and ignorant by choice ignorant of its proud roots, and ignorant of the genuine threats to our lives, liberties and sovereignty that are rampant, and gaining power, both within and outside of our borders. Our government is corrupt devoted more to the amassing of power, and the realization of political agendas, than it is to preserving the sanctity of the Constitution and the sovereignty of the republic. Our laws no longer serve justice, but, instead, serve to increase the power of the elite, and create and maintain a citizenry that is ever more dependent on government edict and largesse. Sadly, I can't disagree with any of it, Joanie.
(It's good to see you back.) :-)

COSCO is an extenion of the PRC military. I do not agree with their having that level of operation in any of our ports...just like I disagree heartily with their level of involvement and control ove the Panama Canal. Same in the SPrately Islands. They are busily, and committedly, establish themselves on many of the vital choke points around the world. You said a mouthful, Jeff. All of it true and very worrisome.

ANY information about US forces/bases/etc that is obtained by the enemy, can be used to harm the American military. Google's Earth site should be shut down. Why? There is no good strategic or tactical reason. Wouldn't you rather make your war plans based on knowing what your enemies know than guess? Putting up barriers around commonly known or easily obtained information makes you feel safer maybe, but is is a false sense of security.

I did some more thinking about this especially after church this morning and would like your opinion on where God fits into your (and my) opinion that our country's future is looking dim.

The Varyag is nearly 3 times the size the UK's current V/STOL carriers. The PRC was in the running to buy the British Harrier till it's disastrous invasion of Vietnam in 1979.

The number of aircraft these ships carry will depend on the the amount of modifications the Chinese carry out.If they leave all the anti-ship & anti-air weapons on board,it will reduce the quantity of the airgroup. In most circumstances, the total air group of this carrier won't exceed 35-40 aircraft incl. of helicopters.
To: sukhoi-30mki
Agreed. I believe they will remove most of the SSM capability and that she will have a max capability of 50 aircraft. The numbers you cite will be closer to what she will probably actually carry.
I also believe she will be a training and transitional vessel, and a political tool...until the PLAN launches full-deck carriers of their own. But we shall see.

Google's Earth site should be shut down. What you're aiming for is "security through obscurity." It's the same model used by Microsoft to keep weaknesses in its software from being exploited by hackers. And we can see how well that works.

A target rich environment!Yes, the United States is indeed. And Google is showing the enemy which you refuse to admit, exactly where and how to hit us.
Good job, Cap'n Kirk....running with Shields Down. We're all one big happy "World Globalist Trading Fleet."
Not!

Looks like the carrier has a target under a magnifying glass painted on her deck.

Did you know that our government was stupid enough to invite Chinese military personnel onboard our ships during our recent Pacific naval exercises?
Or that they allow tourists to visit many of our ships when they are in port, including inviting them to launchings?
Don't let that dirty little secret out though.
Also, don't mention that our ships visit ports in the Far East that are crawling with agents who can get much better pictures with a $600 camera than anything Google can show you.
To: Toddsterpatriot
Those pictures were of China.Let us spell out for you since you seem to not get it...they could just have easily been our defense installations, naval ports and yards, etc.
Try again in English.
Try what? Guess your English does not bear close scrutiny.
