Rather is a victim of his own deceptions - he's gone but Dubya's still there!!!!

The lefty SeeBS fans need not despair. Replacing Dan Rather with Katie Couric is like replacing Mao with Madame Mao.

ROFLMAO!!!
Perfect analogy.

The difference between Nixon and Rather is that Nixon had some honor when he left.

Rather, Jimmuh Carter, Neville Chamberlain, Julius and Ethyl Rosenberg, Alger Hiss, Bill Clinton, Benedict Arnold...
Anywhere in there.

"The difference between Nixon and Rather is that Nixon had some honor when he left."
Another is that Nixon's minor transgressions were hyped all out of recognition, while Rather's serious crimes have been overlooked.

Look for the same performance from Couric on the kinko's channel.

"He's a legend. He gave his life to that company. Even though he made a big mistake, . . . "
He's a legend in his own mind. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Rather is just another rabid anti-Bush Texan , same as Natalie Mains , who loves to hate their own. I feel sorry for Texans like this , who delight in defaming their own Texas-ness.
Sort of like puppies that bite their own mother until she bleeds.

Rather bullied Bush, constantly interrupting him, suggesting that many Americans didn't believe his account of what he knew about the arms-for-hostages deal. Bush's haymaker punch of a response When Poppy was VP, he was what GWB was immediately after 9/11 - blunt-talking.
I remember the debate he had with Geraldine Ferraro. He might as well have been debating in a saloon, the language he used was coarse.

...which brings us to one of my favorite danisms --
"But I think you can be an honest person and lie about any number of things." --Dan Rather on FNC's O'Reilly Factor May 15, 2001
As in "false but accurate"?
