LOL, this sounds like a high school script writing class, and they ripped off the ol Vietnam propaganda movies.
Seriously, the BBC are lame.

I found it. It was from Jonathan Swift, the author of Gulliver's Travels. The correct form is: "It is useless to attempt to reason a man out of a thing he was never reasoned into."Cool beans. Thanks alot.

Reporters don't win wars. Brave men with weapons do. All the yellow ink in the world won't change that.
Comment:
I disagree with your statement about yellow ink.
All that yellow ink does have an adverse affect on politicians who determine whether or not they will let the military pursue the war in a vigorous manner.
Brave men with weapons we certainly have in our military.
Liberal politicians and agenda driven reporters with yellow back bones we certainly have in Washington D.C.
God forbid, but could a person imagine trying to fight this Iraq war with Traitor John Kerry as Commander and Chief.
SNAFU comes to mind.

I understand the map--we have surrounded Iran....what now?We have attempted to split the moslem world-Turkey,Israel,Iraq,Kuwait.....a line from the Med to the Arabian sea...east from west ...we are surrounded....I have the balls to go further--You have the balls to go further,,,but does our country? can we? We still have not vanquished the traitorous left in our rear creating havoc with words the same way we have the terrorists in Iraq are creating havoc with blood. It is very hard to build something as complex as a modern govt in a moslem land, conversley it is easy to prevent it. I want top vanquish both the Left and Islam. We can do it but we'll have to jail the left first.

OK, Good thread and strong replies.
So, what now?
Do we just like to bloviate? Or do we make a difference?
Here's a way to put our money where our mouths are.
It doesn't take much, if you've got ten bucks you can help.
Do it on line, or mail it in
We topple Murtha, well guess what, the dominoe effect launches.

"All that yellow ink does have an adverse affect on politicians who determine whether or not they will let the military pursue the war in a vigorous manner. I can't argue with that per se. What I can argue with is certain politicians would be less likely to be vocal if "The Press" didn't provide license.
If you get my drift.

I think there are lots of public that are sick of the betrayal of our troops and sabotage of all USA efforts in the Middle East.
This has been a most dreadful example of how many Democrats are willing for power to sell military lives, the future of America and the security of the nation down the river for an opportunity to regain power.

Lies Lies LIES LIES LIES!!!!!!
It is easy to tell people living conditions are like that when people on TV can only imagine what it can be like. All these Americans who claim to support the troops by "sending them food when they have nothing to eat" should be ashamed of themselves. All branches of the military have plenty to eat, plenty to drink, and they sleep in at least tents with sleeping bags. Places like Haditha have military camps set up within the city. these reporters are LYING!!! I know a few people that work in Haditha and they say the post is gorgeous with the huge dam. Yes, not everyone stays on post. I know this, but they get relieved and do shifts.
I cannot go into specifics on the matter, but I am on the Syrian border near they city of Qa'im and this is one of the smallest posts in iraq. We have places to sleep and food to eat. Yes, we also have showers and toilets. These are Marines. The discipline should not be questioned by the BBC by he said she said.

It's really not too late to include the BBC and all the MSM as accomplices to the enemy anti-US propaganda corps as they continue these endless distortions in the ongoing war reportage.
No time like the present to shut them all down.
We got a war going on.

I understand your point, and it is well taken.
Nevertheless, I found it pointless to read further. From other replies throughout this thread, It is obvious that my decision was well founded.

You said it my firend. Many times over the last few days I have said that. the media should be booted out of here and let these boys do their job. Instilling fear is what the terrorists do. Forget the "Winning the hearts and minds" process. You one up the terrorists show the regular Iraqis that they would rather be killed by the insurgents then feel the wrath of the Americans. this is war, and it not won gently.
Another thing is this Senate debate. What is this all about? we are going to debate about the war while men and women are still risking their lives? Come on. I think Republicans should just not show up. Show them we need to suport them, not debate pulling them out when things are starting to come around.
The Dems are hell bent on seeing Bush fail, and that is very sad. Murtha should change what he said.
The war is not unwnnable.
"The war is unwinnable because we refuse to let our side win, or admit they have."
