Leftists tend to fear dying more. That is one reason they are more exercised about our waging war against evil than about the evils committed by those we fight. The number of Iraqis and others Saddam Hussein murdered troubles the Left considerably less than even the remote possibility than they may one day die of global warming (or secondhand smoke).

Liberals tend to fear dying themselves. Other people can die, that's not a problem. Saddam wasn't personally roaming the streets of NYC gunning down random passersby, so leave him alone. The 9/11 victims are dead anyway, so they don't count (except at election time.)

As for the reason liberals are envirowhackos, that is because they believe that an accident brought us here, therefore another accident could take us out. How all this environmental activism is supposed to prevent that eventuality is not the point. The point is that THEY must have total control in any case.

Since most liberals are also atheistic to some degree (some more than others, but all on that end of the rope), they have good reason to fear dying and far less hope and faith that things will work themselves out.

This is simple psychology 101.

As for the reason liberals are envirowhackos, that is because they believe that an accident brought us here, therefore another accident could take us out.

I've never seen it described so perfectly. I'll be using your theory to define liberals from now on.
