I have a question about the estate tax--isn't it only if the inheritance is over a million? We had a death in the family recently and that's what the lawyer told us. Just curious, because it seems like one of those issues that affects a select few. Of course, on principle it affects all, but I was just curious.

1,000,000 for gifts upon death and 2,000,000 for estates upon death. Of course the "inheritance" tax affects a select few, and they are working hard to repeal it. An aristocracy does not agree with the values of the United States.
