(snip)
But your most disgraceful case was in Somalia; where- after vigorous propaganda about the power of the USA and its post cold war leadership of the new world order- you moved tens of thousands of international force, including twenty eight thousands American solders into Somalia. However, when tens of your solders were killed in minor battles and one American Pilot was dragged in the streets of Mogadishu you left the area carrying disappointment, humiliation, defeat and your dead with you. Clinton appeared in front of the whole world threatening and promising revenge , but these threats were merely a preparation for withdrawal. You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew; the extent of your impotence and weaknesses became very clear. It was a pleasure for the "heart" of every Muslim and a remedy to the "chests" of believing nations to see you defeated in the three Islamic cities of Beirut , Aden and Mogadishu.

I gotta tell you if I hear another conservative or drive-by fair and dizzy spinner advocating the theory that
we have had such a great couple of weeks that we will keep the house and senate I will get physically ill.
Who ever proffered the idea that we would lose any seats in either house!! People/voters just can't be stupid enough to vote for the terrorists CS party, they need the party that stands up to terrorism and there is only one; us.

There is a wealth of amusement in your links. Here is Rahm Emanuel on Ann Coulter:
"Not a single Republican elected official has stepped forward to reject her hate, so I have to conclude they are comfortable with her as their spokesperson. So according to him, Ann Coulter, a private citizen, is now an official spokesperson for the Republican party. Does that make Larry Johnson, who said that Karl Rove is so terrible, his mother committed suicide, an official spokesperson for the Dems? Rahm also said that Ann is afraid of the Jersey Girls. Obviously, he does not know Ann.

So wonder if he is comfortable with everyone hate filled wacko from Mike Moore to Cindy banSheehan speaking for his party? Utterly absurd for the Democrat Party, which has spewed nothing but political hate speech for the last 5 years, to start whining when someone fires back.
Ann Coulter did not give fire ON the Jersey Girls and Murtha, she RETURNED fire on them.

Once again you have posted a really valuable thread. I am glad to see Tony Snow on so many shows, and will be watching. I expect nothing but good news from his appearances.
I am going to early Mass tomorrow so that I can be here for Alas Babylon's thread. I hope you guys had a great time when you met!

I am going to early Mass tomorrow so that I can be here for Alas Babylon's thread. I hope you guys had a great time when you met!I'm really looking forward to participating in the thread tomorrow. I think this could be a pivotal weekend.
And I really enjoyed meeting AB. I hope he enjoyed it as well.
I now regret not blowing away my co-workers and seeing if I could work out spending the week with him. From what he shared of his week I think he hit a lot more of the business contacts I was looking for than I did by staying close to my co-workers.
Ah, children, they have no idea of the opportunities before them. What's really sad is when someone who should know better, like me, second guesses their own instincts and doesn't act on the best chances.
Ah well.

Mark Kilmer has posted his preview on Redstate.COM

For Sunday, June 18, 2006 Meet the Press (NBC): Host Tim Russert talks to Jack Murtha, the hip new face of the Democratic Party. Then he speaks to three oil company execs about gas prices. FOX News Sunday (FNS): Host Chris Wallace interviews White House Press Secretary Tony Snow, then he turns to former Clinton (Bill) boss-staffer John Podesta and Simon Rosenberg of the NDN to discuss the rifts within the Democratic Party regarding Iraq. Face the Nation (CBS): Host Bob Schieffer discusses the war in Iraq and the President's trip to Baghdad last week with Snow, and the ubiquitous Joe Biden and Lindsey Graham. This Week (ABC): Host George Stephanopoulos will not air, as Steph participates in Soccer's World Cup. Or maybe he won't even go there. Either way, Steph gets the weekend off. Late Edition (CNN): Host Wolf Blitzer talks to Snow, Pat Roberts and Diane Feinstein, and his usual cast of thousands. He usually lines up some nifty guest like an Iraqi cabinet minister or the UN undersecretary of something, fitting them in at the beginning. ----- Murtha-mania again strikes Russert's show, the most watched. Give him airtime, make him seem the mainstream Democrat! Thanks, Tim. Tony Snow will make the rounds, and he's the star. Podesta of the Center for American Progress and Rosenberg from the NDN are visiting from the belly of the tepid, smarmy beast on FNS, and Linsey Graham is a familiar face. (Biden, of course, goes without saying.) But the best contrast of the week will be Murtha for the Dems vs. Snow for the White House (GOP). Murtha's taken some flak the past week, so he might be even more unhinged. Who knows what he'll say? I shall, of course, have the review of these shows here at ReddState.com tomorrow afternoon. |

Did you know that C-Span links to FR in its Blog section? I did not realize that. I just read Dean's speech to the KosKids. He says the most amazing things...e.g, the dems are not the party of big government. It's too hot and steamy to work in the yard so I am having a quiet and interesting afternoon learning lots thanks to your hard work, like how much Podesta is a stalking horse for Hillary! and maybe for Bill, because he is heavily promoting the UN.

I'm having so much fun that I'm going to share my findings, even if I'm the only one here. LOL. I thought this was interesting:
Chris Bowers and Matt Stoller, who write for the liberal blog MyDD.com, took control of BlogPAC earlier this month. It will no longer operate as a traditional PAC, raising money to support candidates and participate in elections, Bowers said....
If you read the rest, you will soon discern that Bowers and Stoller have just set up a little scam for themselves.
Daily Kos turns over BlogPAC to MyDD.com (The Hill, DC), found under the Simon Rosenberg heading in Phsstpok's links.

Nah, you were doing just fine! You almost won the $2,500!!!!
I really enjoyed meeting Phsstpok very much.
As you can all see we survived the week in Kerry/Kennedy land. I suggested to Phsstpok we go freep Kerry's house, but he was too busy trying to win cool stuff!

'This Week' will NOT air on Sunday, June 18, due to ABC's coverage of World Cup soccer. It must mean something HUGE when ABC Snooze gets the boot by something as worthless as soccer.
I didn't see anything listed about the big story of the current millennium -
House strips Jefferson of seat on Ways, Means
Richard B. Schmitt
Los Angeles Times
Jun. 17, 2006 12:00 AM
WASHINGTON - The House on Friday voted to strip Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., of a powerful committee post, while an effort by the Democrat to fight a search of his Capitol Hill office ran into a skeptical federal judge.
The voice vote, without debate or dissent, to expel Jefferson from the tax-writing Ways and Means Committee appears to be the first time the House has taken such a step against a member who has not been charged with a crime.
The Congressional Black Caucus said that Jefferson was being punished unfairly before even being charged with a crime. Some of the 43 members have said Jefferson was singled out because he is Black.
The congressman is being investigated for possibly using his office to promote business ventures in Africa in which he had an interest.
On Friday, lawyers for Jefferson and the House leadership went to federal court to challenge an FBI search of his Capitol Hill office on May 20-21, saying it violated the doctrine of separation of powers and the "speech and debate" clause of the Constitution. The constitutional provision protects members of Congress from lawsuits and forced testimony stemming from their official legislative acts.
