CNBC announcing - After July 2008, Bill Gates shall leave his daily role at Microsoft, but will remain as company chairman.
You sound like a goombah.
"Hey, we never said we'd hurt Mr. Bar Owner if he didn't buy his liquor from Don Legbreaker's Booze Distributor. We just said that if he didn't, he wouldn't be able to get booze from anyone else and he'd go out of business."
Don't bother responding, I have no interest in your type.
Too bad, kneepadder. If you suck up to scumbags expect some people to call you on it.
How about a great big yawn? And good luck to you too.
Nope. Just someone who has watched from inside the industry as William H. Gates III has taken his father's money and built the world's largest snake oil business...to the great dismay of those people that have to clean up after his horribly broken software and his ham-handed attempts to control the industry.
What will you be saying if Bill Gates decides to throw some of his billions to the poor, downtrodden souls at Hamas?
Still won't care about his politics?
How about if decides to invest his billions in helping the Chinese Communist government build a better military command and control structure? Not all that far fetched considering how much he's already given away to the Chinese government.
Yes, since we don't really have anything to hate him for, lets hate him for what he might decide to do sometime in the future. He's rich, and successful, and philanthropic, and we detest that in a fellow American, right?
Phoooey.
Lotsa Gates bashing on this thread, indeed. And nothing but banalities and cliches from his defenders. "A lucky simpleton", was how Bill Graham referred to Steve Wozniak after he was called to rescue Steve's crumbling attempt at a Woodstock style festival. I wonder if that also applies to Billy Gates.
The only thing I detest him for is his contributions to Planned Parenthood.
That's enough, I think.
I agree--except about the genius part. He's quite good at business and marketing. He grew MS into the giant it is today. But I don't think "genius" quite fits.
The B&M Gates foundation scholarship that is set up exclusively for blacks and their advancement. (You'll have to look it up - I don't have time right now.)That's okay.
*What I really admire Gates for are the scholarship funds his foundation set up for the children of killed or wounded members of the U.S. military. What could be more honourable, more patriotic than to do so? The U.S. military is composed of racial, ethnic, socio-economic and two-gender diversity - truly representative of America.
*I could be mistaken...
Oh, there's plenty of things that are disgusting about Bill Gates. Being a thief and a liar is just the tip of the ice berg.
He's rich, and successful, and philanthropic, and we detest that in a fellow American, right?
So was Alfonse Capone. You need to get over Bill Gates being rich and realize that he's just another leftist scumbag. He's built an empire on theft, chicanery and extortion.
I wan't aware that those qualities are in such high regard among conservatives.
You can add in his massive contributions to the UN Population Fund. It's bad enough that the UNFPA provides abortions in third world countries. In China they assist the Communist government in enforcing the "one child" policy throught the use of involuntary abortions and forced sterilizations.
> In addition to a "conservative clue" it would help if he "got Christianity."
Something to pray for. What a difference *that* could make to the world. Unfortunately, I believe he's a victim of liberal protestantism. It's amazing how smart a person can be, and yet so stupid.
The probability of Bill Gates being the antichrist just skyrocketed. :)
Sorry, but Gates' "god" is probably the almighty dollar.
At this point, the chances of Jobs coming to his senses and releasing Mac OS X for non-Apple PCs are about the same as Linspire becoming the most popular OS of all time...somewhere between nil and nada.
