I thought Carlin's monologue was hilarious, a nonstop jab at everything politically correct.

As for Ann's Jersey Girls comments, I made similar comments years ago about a well-known and well-paid shrink/author who always began every private conversation or public speech with "I'm dying. I have an incurable disease." When given a chance to publish her newest book, I declined, saying that she'd "been dying professionally for two decades and wasn't interesting any more."

There really is a time limit on wringing sympathy from your audience, beyond which it's just shallow treacly faux emotion.

You seem to be PROJECTING onto Ann your negative experiences with someone ELSE in your life.

Way to go RonDog - I loved the show - one of my favorite of all times. It was the first time I have ever seen Leno so subdued - and humorless. He is always quick with a one liner or saying something funny. Not once did he even crack a smile.

My teen aged son came up with an absolutely brilliant and simple test to determine if one is liberal or conservative.

Just ask someone - practically anyone -

"Do you love America?"

Conservatives will respond with a resounding 'Yes"

Liberals will pause, and say, well, or yeah but ......


Try it some time - it's really a great litmus test....

Thanks for the info!! The other day I did all those steps except when I tried to open the FLV convertor it wouldn't open after the DL. I was thinking it was because I needed Firefox browser?

I think Colter's remark about them caring for the Joisey Girlz and not about godless was spot-on.

I do like how Carlin was looking up in the air when Ann talked. You can barely see his head, but its direction is obvious.
