MSNBC's "Weekends with Maury & Connie" is being cancelled, TVNewser has learned. The program, hosted by Maury Povich and Connie Chung, will end its run next week. The husband and wife team taped their second-to-last show on Friday.
"Weekends" launched almost exactly six months ago, on January 7, 2006. It launched to quite a bit of fanfare, and it aired four times a weekend (twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday) but it never seemed to find an audience. There's no word on whether Maury, Connie, or EP Lizz Winstead will have a future role at MSNBC...
One of the networks or maybe CNN will probably pick up Connie Chung, anyway. These nasty old leftist media skanks never go away. They just change sets every couple of years. Maury can always fall back on his specialty, exploiting troubled kids for ratings by having them flash their boobs and fight each other on camera.
I've heard Glenn Beck's TV show is good (his radio show, IMO, is very hit-or-miss), but I refuse to watch CNN for any reason. I'm stunned that his show has lasted as long as it has on CNN - I'm sure the leftists launched their usual hate mail campaign, and I figured he'd get broomed within a couple of weeks.
Connine Chung is a commie skank.
It could be said that nothing on MSNBC has seemed to find an audience.
Connie Chung has fallen very hard from her "glory" days. Perhaps Katie will follow.
It must have been Rick Kaplan. He's canned and within just a few days, Maury & Connie are gone too. With Kaplan gone, I wonder who made the decision? Imus?

I woke up to this show after falling asleep on the couch and thought I was still dreaming. These two knuckleheads were trying to be a pro and con for current events but would have very little substance to add , then pat each other on the leg or make goo goo eyes at each other in between. All she could say were dumb one liners. The funniest thing is that a few weeks later MADTV did a skit on their show and it was such a good parody that I thought I was watching it again! Adios Connie- Maury has a day job at least.
Bobbie Lee does Connie Chung better than Connie Chung does. This should make for some fun skits on Mad TV :)
I never was much into Hannity and Colmes anyway.
I like the lighthearted humorous approach that GB takes. I wonder if he'll do Moron Trivia on TV when football season starts. I'm guessing he will NOT. IMHO, that is the most entertaining thing he does on the radio. I'm no football fan but sure do enjoy Moron Trivia.
I used to like his interviews with Stephen Hawking, too, but haven't heard one of those for a long time.
