Ann Coulter Fires Back at Hillary Clinton

Conservative author Ann Coulter is firing back at Sen. Hillary Clinton, after the former first lady attacked her for being "vicious [and] mean-spirited" towards a group of politically active 9/11 widows.

"I think if she's worried about people being mean to women she should have a talk with her husband," Coulter told radio host Sean Hannity, who was hosting a book signing for the conservative firebrand on Long Island.

"This is, I remind you, Bill Clinton's wife," Coulter added. "[And I'm the one who's] mean to women?"

Earlier in the day, Mrs. Clinton complained about Coulter's attacks on the Jersey Girls, a group of 9/11 widows who blamed President Bush for the attacks that killed their husbands and who campaigned for John Kerry in 2004.

"Perhaps [Coulter's] book should have been called 'Heartless,"' the top Democrat said. "I know a lot of the widows and family members who lost loved ones on 9/11. They never wanted to be a member of a group that is defined by the tragedy of what happened."

An angry Clinton added that she found it "unimaginable that anyone in the public eye could launch a vicious, mean-spirited attack on people whom I've known over the last four and a half years to be concerned deeply about the safety and security of our country."

But Coulter told Hannity: "She may know the 9/11 widows, but you and I know Juanita Broaddrick" - a reference to one of Mr. Clinton's accusers.

Coulter delivered her broadsides against Mrs. Clinton as a phalanx of TV and print reporters looked on.

The heavy coverage was prompted by the New York Daily News, which frontpaged Coulter's comments on the Jersey Girls in Wednesday editions.

' the top Democrat said."

That's like all the Dems who keep saying McCain is the frontrunner for the Republicans.

FROM THE DATELINE INTERVIEW with Juanita Broaddrick:

But Broaddrick says Clinton called later — she thinks it was around 9 in the morning — and asked if they could meet in her hotel room because there were reporters in the coffee shop.

Lisa Myers: “Did you think his interest in you at the time was personal or professional?”

Juanita Broaddrick: “I thought it was professional, completely.”
Myers: “So you thought this was going to be a business meeting?”

Broaddrick: “Yes I did, I really did.”

Myers: “Did you have qualms at all about him coming to the room?”

Broaddrick: “I was a little bit uneasy. But, I felt, ah, a real friendship toward this man and I didn’t really feel any, um any danger in him coming to my room. I sort of ushered us over to the coffee — I had coffee sitting on a little table over there by the window and it was a real pretty window view that looked down at the river. And he came around me and sort of put his arm over my shoulder to point to this little building and he said he was real interested if he became governor to restore that little building and then all of a sudden, he turned me around and started kissing me. And that was a real shock.”

Myers: “What did you do?”

Broaddrick: “I first pushed him away and just told him ‘No, please don’t do that,” and I forget, it’s been 21 years, Lisa, and I forget exactly what he was saying. It seems like he was making statements that would relate to ‘Did you not know why I was coming up here?’ and I told him at the time, I said, ‘I’m married, and I have other things going on in my life, and this is something that I’m not interested in.’”

Myers: “Had you, that morning, or any other time, given him any reason to believe you might be receptive?”

Broaddrick: “No. None. None whatsoever.”

Myers: “Then what happens?”

Broaddrick: “Then he tries to kiss me again. And the second time he tries to kiss me he starts biting my lip (she cries). Just a minute... He starts to, um, bite on my top lip and I tried to pull away from him. (crying) And then he forces me down on the bed. And I just was very frightened, and I tried to get away from him and I told him ‘No,’ that I didn’t want this to happen (crying) but he wouldn’t listen to me.”

Myers: “Did you resist, did you tell him to stop?”

Broaddrick: “Yes, I told him ‘Please don’t.’ He was such a different person at that moment, he was just a vicious awful person.”

Myers: “You said there was a point at which you stopped resisting?”

Broaddrick: “Yeah.”

Myers: “Why?”

Broaddrick: “It was a real panicky, panicky situation. I was even to the point where I was getting very noisy, you know, yelling to ‘Please stop.’ And that’s when he pressed down on my right shoulder and he would bite my lip.”

Broaddrick also says the waist of her skirt and her pantyhose were torn.

Juanita Broaddrick: “When everything was over with, he got up and straightened himself, and I was crying at the moment and he walks to the door, and calmly puts on his sunglasses. And before he goes out the door he says ‘You better get some ice on that.’ And he turned and went out the door.”

Myers: “On your lip?”

Broaddrick: “Yeah.”

Broaddrick estimates Clinton was in her room less than 30 minutes.
Myers: “Is there any way at all that Bill Clinton could have thought that this was consensual?”

Broaddrick: “No. Not with what I told him, and with how I tried to push him away. It was not consensual.”

Myers: “You’re saying that Bill Clinton sexually assaulted you, that he raped you.”

Broaddrick: “Yes.”

Myers: “And there is no doubt in your mind that that’s what happened?”

Broaddrick: “No doubt whatsoever.”

Wow! I've never seen that pic before. You mean we were that close and couldn't get the job done?

Maybe you're right. Can you imagine the reaction when President Coulter wears her miniskirt into the room and says " I'd like to address this meeting of you crooks of this crooked ass UN today!"

The constitution was silent on who could vote.

There was no need for the 19th admendment. All the states could have given women the vote without the admendment.

Same with giving 18 yr old the vote.

Well these widows and Cindy Sheehan aren't beyond reproach that's for sure.

However Ann's comment essential takes the Arguement down to this.

widow of 9/11...

"I'm a widow of 9/11 and I'm against President Bush and the Iraq war."

This is Ann's equivelant response.

"Oh yeah widows... well you're fat and ugly."

I would love Ann to answer this question. By telling the world that you think they are reveling in their husbands death you are exactly accomplishing what?

Can't you simply leave the arguement at "These widows don't have any idea what they are talking about and here's why......" and simply just argue them on an intellectual basis?

If the facts are on our side why must you resort to basically name calling?

The answer based on this tragic epsiode in my opinion is that Ann choose to act like a 2 year old to sell more books.

Ann doesn't have to defend herself. She was simply stating another fact.

I suggest all naysayers of Ann watch or listen to the Hannity interview. She hit it out of the park explaining why she wrote what she did and it's the damn truth.

The only fact she stated was that she's can be as childish as anyone on the planet.

This is Ann's equivelant response."Oh yeah widows... well you're fat and ugly."

No, it isn't. Her words are sharp and acid, no doubt. But she pegs them to substance and explains the facts supporting them.

I would love for you to answer this question: how are the four Jersey widows any different from Cindy Sheehan?

"Same with giving 18 yr old the vote."

I want to repeal that and change the voting age to 30. ;)

She is starting to sound as bad as Ariana Huffington when she finally went around the bend. I can't believe people are supporting her on this. Ann is becoming completely unhinged and I predict she will go far left before this is over.

You just don't get it. She wasn't being childish. She was pointing out facts. Period. Sometimes the truth is ugly.

I don't recall that Hillery ever went to any 9/11 funerals that weren't well-publicized, unlike Giuliani, who, IIRC, went to virtually every single one.

They aren't different.

Cindy and the widows DO hide behind their labels of being 9/11 widows or having their son die in Iraq.

Ann is right on that point.

The liberals go around and if you say that Cindy is wrong or that she doesn't know what she's talking about that you are a hateful person because YOU can't possibly know what Cindy is going through.

That being said... as you said Ann's were "sharp and acid".

All these words do is drag us down to the level of liberals. Is that what you want? Saying that these women are delighting in their status as widows... is that something God would approve of?

Could be that one time way back in history you may have had a point, but not today. Time after time in recent history I recall the Federal Government forcing the states to dance to it's tune by threatening and more than once actually withholding funds from states who refused to kiss the Fed's ass.

Heard it... she was on fire.

Yeah...now lets see if Hillary fires back. *Snicker*

Hillary sees this as an opportunity to score admiration from the wacko rat base. However, she'll find out that Ann will eat her breakfast, her lunch, and her dinner. Heehee.
