Conservative author Ann Coulter is firing back at Sen. Hillary Clinton, after the former first lady attacked her for being "vicious [and] mean-spirited" towards a group of politically active 9/11 widows.
"I think if she's worried about people being mean to women she should have a talk with her husband," Coulter told radio host Sean Hannity, who was hosting a book signing for the conservative firebrand on Long Island.
"This is, I remind you, Bill Clinton's wife," Coulter added. "[And I'm the one who's] mean to women?"
Earlier in the day, Mrs. Clinton complained about Coulter's attacks on the Jersey Girls, a group of 9/11 widows who blamed President Bush for the attacks that killed their husbands and who campaigned for John Kerry in 2004.
"Perhaps [Coulter's] book should have been called 'Heartless,"' the top Democrat said. "I know a lot of the widows and family members who lost loved ones on 9/11. They never wanted to be a member of a group that is defined by the tragedy of what happened."
An angry Clinton added that she found it "unimaginable that anyone in the public eye could launch a vicious, mean-spirited attack on people whom I've known over the last four and a half years to be concerned deeply about the safety and security of our country."
But Coulter told Hannity: "She may know the 9/11 widows, but you and I know Juanita Broaddrick" - a reference to one of Mr. Clinton's accusers.
Coulter delivered her broadsides against Mrs. Clinton as a phalanx of TV and print reporters looked on.
The heavy coverage was prompted by the New York Daily News, which frontpaged Coulter's comments on the Jersey Girls in Wednesday editions.
Tucker Carlson just started out his show with this topic...and when mentioning Hillary..he asked the rhetorical question about the verbal fight between she and Ann Coulter...
"will this help or hurt her chances to REGAIN the White House?"...
My jaw is still on my keyboard...
Gentle Jedidah, your condemnation aside, you fail to listen to the full argument. Ms. Coulter's exposure of the "Jersey Girls" and Ms. Clinton as crass political operatives, making them fair game politically, is shadowed by your feeling that they are the ultimate victims of 9/11. The true victims of 9/11 were defined by the people that flew those planes into buildings, and those victims were each and everyone of us..
Thats what you get for wathing the boe-tie-freak.
I'll consider it time served ;)
I constantly have to remind myself... I watch CSPAN WJ in the morning getting ready for work. I start to get FURIOUS at the crazy libs, and have to catch myself.
"You don't go to the cirucs and then act surprised at the clowns" I tell myself.
I mostly watch practice my rebuttals in my head... keeps me sharp, mental acrobatics and all. I do love to 'smack down' chrissy matthews in my apt by myself... but it just too easy.
Is that Photoshopped? It looks too good to be real. Bet she ate it.
The Jersey girls are one of the repulsive groups around this country hogging the media limelight and milking it for all its worth, they let the Clintons off the hook and their complicity in the 9/11, a shameless bunch these media hungry Jersey girls are.
Ann could have toned down a bit and perhaps used better words to reflect her views, off late she seems to have no concern about this and sonehow appeals as a shrill women with anger and not a properly directed message.
To tell you the truth....the first part of the show was the WORST..
They had little scale models of the houses of the "victims" of the Marines in Haditha...and a timeline, and interview after interview...
With the main line being...'what did the "higher-ups" know, and when did they know it'....referring to Rummy, Cheney and Bush...
All I can say is...I pray that none of the families of the Marines that supposedly did that were watching tonight...because I was glad I don't live in New York, or I MIGHT have had to make my way to their studio I was so mad...
Oh..dear, I just got my yucky networks mixed up...the Ann/Hillary was MSNBC with Tucker..
The Haditha outrage was CNN with some guy subbing for Anderson Cooper..
Sorry.
middie, why don't you take your tripe over to DUmmieLand where you'll have an adoring audience. You bleeding heart leftist trolls really irritate me.
ROTFLMAO! I LOVE that picture!
Everybody is so happy!

give em hell Ann
oh please not that picture...no...no...no...
She should be conducting workshops for the Republican caucus on the hill.
Does anyone no if there were states that allowed women to vote before the 19 Amendment?
Top Democrat? Carl, I can't believe you wrote that.
How 'bout Junior Senator from New York? A more truthful description.
"Does anyone no if there were states that allowed women to vote before the 19 Amendment?"
Yes, the 19th admendment made it nationwide. Wyoming gave wimmen the vote in 1890.
This should end the she-thing's argument.
Please go to amazon and review it.
She is being beaten over there.
