After calling a group of 9/11 widows "harpies" who seem to be "enjoying their husbands' deaths" in her new book, the conservative pundit has gone too far. She even added:

"And by the way, how do we know their husbands weren't planning to divorce these harpies? Now that their shelf life is dwindling, they'd better hurry up and appear in Playboy..."

Huh?

Ugly is the only way I can describe what Coulter has written. Now I understand why Time magazine put her on the cover a few years ago and made her look like a praying mantis. She just might be the type of creature that would eat its mate after sex.

They (the scumbag "Jersey Girls") have spent the years since the 2001 terror attacks supporting an independent commission (the laughingstock "9/11 Commission") to examine government failures before the attack (but mainly just during the 8 months before the attack), and in the 2004 presidential campaign they endorsed Democrat John Kerry (when the women abandoned any pretense of truly caring about "national security" and played up their "victim" roles to become political whores for the Democrat Party. They also, therefore, became fair game for criticism).

The women are Kristen Breitweiser, Lorie Van Auken, Mindy Kleinberg and Patty Casazza of New Jersey.

There is nothing wrong with folks coming into the spotlight because of natural tragedies or enemy attacks. There is nothing wrong with any legitimate political or activist group packaging these folks as symbols.

But the media is not a legitimate group - aren't they supposed to be just reporting?? - and after this they will never again be permitted to simply anoint someone, conferring status on them and trotting them out time after time as mouthpieces. Also, liberal piety regarding victimhood has lost legitimacy.

Ann Coulter may have been over the top, but this is a meaningful change in mass media discourse.

Look, these 4 Jersey girls have campaigned with Kerry-Edwards. Been on Larry King, Matthews, Colmes and other lefty media outlets lambasting W and our military over the war against Islamofacism. Ann is pointing out that when in the kitchen of politics, and these gals are dispite their tragic losses, they better learn to stand the heat of criticism. I ordered her book, though cringe somewhat at her comments. However, I've reread some of the words of one of these Jersey Girls. She basically called for the death penalty for Tenent & some FBI officials after the ZM verdict. She also went on about the supposed pipeline in Afghanistan (alluding to the lie the war was about oil). Worst of all, these "women" have made all of us less safe. They pushed for that vile 911 Commission- which basically whitewashed Clinton's failures, and during an election year, blamed Bush more than Osama. NOT a good bunch of women.
