Utterly absurd nonsense as usual. They prostituted their "Widowhood" to act as strident Democrat Partisans. Very well, using their widowhood as justification for why their commentary on matters political was credible, they cannot then hide behind their widowhood to avoid being held to account for their actions. You've said it very well. I have felt this way for years. In what way did the deaths on 9-11 suddenly confer political expertise on anyone who lost husbands, wives, or children?
A few years back, I lost my very lovely wife to a bad and rapidly acting disease.
That gave me no expertise on anything on which I hadn't had prior expertise, not even on the disease that killed her. Medical science had nothing to offer save palliative measures.
Crap happens, and that's the truth. The sympathy of the entire nation went out to those who lost loved ones on 9-11, but I got sick of hearing the same harpy voices blame Bush for something over which he had no control.

Yep your right... substitute Elian Gonzales then. Point and match!

Coulter should have known her remarks would cause controversy. But she may have underestimated how sensitive even her own audience might be to such an ignorant rant. That quote is not from me. My response was to buy the book.

That's right. All the 9/11 widows are untouchable, and cannot be criticized, regardless how incredibly stupid and irresponsible the are in their public political advocacy appearances.

I love it when idiots like this guy and Keith Olberman mouth off. Keith was at his finest venom tonight. Of course, with every bad mouth of Ann Coulter, he helps her sell more books and brings us more converts. The Democrat Party with these left-wing, liberal commentators, is on the way to a major toilet flushing. Oh, by the way, Ann was right about about the New Jersey "Witches". It is Bill and Hillary Clinton and the Democrat Party that are the murderers of American innocents that died on 911 and before!!!

I love and admire Ann more than ever.

Some people can't appreciate the irony that Ann gives back to the libs everything they've been dishing out to conservatives for the past 50 years. Has the MSM ever written that headline about Michael Moore, Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Norman Mailer, Jesse Jackson, Al Franken, Bill or Hillary?

Actually, the women really don't have a point, they are barking moonbats that think the evil gub'mint must have known yada yada.

"Citing him [Rabelais] in defense of decorum is priceless."
Well, nobody as yet has accused him of not understanding the uses of sarcasm and irony. And we are to learn from him at least that much. BTW, his giants were pissing not ON but FROM Notre Dame cathedral, upon the assembled crowd which did not deserve any better.

So the point is, if you or a family member have ever been the victim of a crime, you can make your political arguments free of citicism? For how long? It's been nearly five years. Maybe Coulter's humor laced criticism isn't for everyone (she keeps me in stitches), but those women are fair game when they turn their own tragedy into a political trump card. If the subject is off limits then it should be off limits for them as well.

On the contrary, you do have an insider's perspective on the disease and it's ravaging effects, a perspective that you can speak with authority about because you lived it. The 911 widows, however, have no insider knowledge because their husbands died on a certain day in a specific place. No more than, say, a wife in Idaho that lost her husband on 9-11-01 in a car wreck.

If such a book does exist, Coulter would do well by reading it. Then what would she do for a living? Wait tables?

She just might be the type of creature that would eat its mate after sex. Well, you don't have to worry about this issue. I am sure that she would never, in a million years, have sex with you.

When the segment ended, Matthews referred tot he people who bought her books as nebbishes!! I'm sure governsleastgovernsbest will have a posting regarding the show sometime tonight. Those who carry truth to the public are considered an enemy to those on the Left. Those who avail themselves to the truth earn names as well.
We know this as a favorite marxist tactic used by all Lefties, to discourage such excursions into truth by the use/attachment of dismissive and unflattering 'labels'.
It is the same MO as the mind control of political correctness; designed to re-'frame' and contain the truth while altering perceptions so as to have an entire culture conform with the Left's distorted, if not 'evil' version of reality. . . .
Yeah, Chris. . thanks for the warning! My reputation is at risk if I buy this book or any of 'the others' who honestly and bravely, 'tell it like it is'.

I think what she said was over the top, and she apparently knew people would be outraged by her comments.
You'll never convince some people here that she was wrong, however.

If the sentence about them enjoying their spouses deaths (which is a jab at their new lifestyle but seems to imply they aren't grieving) wasn't in there, I would agree with everything I've seen that she wrote about them. They are despicable people. They not only are useful idiots, they have spit on the sacrifice of 343 firefighters and 22 police officers.

Isn't she a lawyer by training? If so, then she has a trade to put the bread on the table.

Ann definitely knows how to effectively use the MSM.She's not wrong, but she shouldn't have said it.....like saying someone is too fat to get a date.
You're both 100% right.
