So how do you explain what Brigham Young taught, that polygamy MUST always be practiced, and then some other leader of the church says no, we gotta stop that.

That is my problem with the Mormon church, policy can change like the wind. That would really suck. Never knowing if whats O.K. today is still gonna be o.k. tomorrow.

The law of Moses was fulfilled in Christ. Many of his day had a hard time with it. in the Book of Mormon in fact when Christ was born some wrongly quit practicing the Law of Moses until the prophet told them to continue. Christ had not completed his ministry (just his birth). So they were told by the prophet to continue until the Lord told them to stop.

I view the commandment to first practice then discontinue polygamy in the same way. God commanded it then he didn't.
