Bilbray/Busby results will be here under U.S. REPRESENTATIVE 50TH DISTRICT - (RUN-OFF) ... http://www.sdvote.org/election/congress.xml
All election results are on this page ... http://www.sdvote.org/election/primary.xml
I heard, just this evening, that Busby's only claim to fame is that she was a "school board member". Is this correct? Is that really the ONLY experience she has in elected office (and that considering the condition of California public schools)?
In Oklahoma, the people running for our Reps. job are former Lt. Governors, Labor Commissioner, etc. I can't believe Californians would settle for someone with so little experience!!
And since Bilbray and Busby are winning their prospective primaries there will be the same match up in November.
Especially dispiriting to the national Democratic Party leadership if the numbers and margin hold up. They put an enormous amount of money, energy, and time into this one race. They were couting on this race to be the ember that would ignite a pro-Democrat conflagration nationwide.
So far, it's been all fizzle and no flame.
Our Georgia republican Senator Paul Coverdale died while in office. The Democrat governor appointed former Democrat Governor Zell Miller to finish up Coverdale's term, and the rest is history.
I don't think most folks here realize that there were two elections going on in te 50th district. One a run off to fill out the vacant seat and the other republican and democrat primaries to choose the party nominees for the november elections.
Bilbray is winning the "runoff" and he is also winning the republican primary. Busby is coming in second in the run off and winning the democrat primary.
Theoretically Bilbray could have won the runoff and lost the primary meaning he would be out of a job come December 31.
I'm not too sure of the Senate.
Conrad Burns (MT) and Rick Santorum (PA) look like they're both in big trouble.
We'll have to pick up seats elsewhere to off-set those losses.
What a bimbo!!!
BILBRAY 50%
BUSBY 42%
COUNTED 15%
Reminds me of a Mary Tyler Moore episode where a communications failure leaves Ted repeating the same results over and over.
I don't have a linke but I saw it on Yahoo News. It was buried under the Alabama governor race. Looks like the AP is not going to report Bilbray's victory.
It's a good sign, I'm thinking, that Bilbray is getting over 50% in both races.
Where are you getting your results? I have 3 sites tabbed and they are all still reporting 11%! The Sec of State only has the primary for November (at least that I can find). Help!
KOGO SAN DIEGO LIVE WITH ROGER HEDGECOCK.
He's wrong, he's looking at the separate primary elections... not the special election race.
THAT'S IT.
Great fun listening to election results live.
The last set of votes went more for Busby. Not a good sign but then I am a the worrying type.
KOGO has produced this evening about as much inaccuate information as your regular liberal main stream news. Keep your powder dry until we see today's results build.
