Hi Julie: GOOD NEWS!!!
You know who of the anti-K.H. poster sent me this reply:
To: danamco
>I'm member of a 10,000 member church in Ft. Lauderdale and our pastor is one of the most well known preacher in the country, preaching the Gospel on TV and radio, as well as broadcasting to a plethora of countries (international.) He is extremely very much involved with the politics of this nation, and for sure a Conservative as well!!

10,000 members, TV, etc. I expect you are referring to Coral Ridge Presbyterian. Great church, great pastor. Dr. Kennedy is on TV, etc. as you say. but if you think you could question 100 voters at random throughout the country and ask them who Dr. D. James Kennedy is and have more than 2 in a hundred identify him is pastor of Coral Ridge, then you are sadly mistaken. Heck, 60 percent don't know who Denny Hastert is and 85% don't know who the President Pro Tem of Senate is!

Most voters would say that James Kennedy is either the (drunk) senator from Massachusetts, the (drunk) rep from RI or most probably, a dead president.

So with all the publicity and promotion Dr. Kennedy gets, , 98% of Americans don't know who he is.

Additionally, if you disagree with the Conservative polls, such as Heritage Foundation and claim that "upper double digit numbers" (80-90% ???) of Americans think that a candidate's position on abortion is the most important reason to chose among the candidates, then how to Kennedy, Clinton, Kerry, and all the rest of the Dems who think abortion is a right ever get elected?

Finally, you make the worse mistake of all in your analysis. You forget that politics is about changing minds. Any supporters she has (33%) are already well acquainted with Ms. Harris conservative positions. The problem is that you have to move another 20%, and that is so far fetched a possibility that Ladbrooks in London is giving 80 to 1 odds against it.

Look at the reality of it. If Florida is split about 50/50/ R/D, and she gets only 33% support, that means 17% of Republicans plan to NOT vote for her! With Nelson at 60%, that means that 10% of Republicans already plan to vote for him!!!!

"Reality Sucks" sometimes, but it's still reality.

Spend your time supporting a local candidate who has a change, not Ms. Ego who does not. We will need lots of help in the Gov race. Put your efforts there. It will be tough, but we CAN win that.

Ms. Harris is not a sinking ship. She sunk months ago.

Well, Well, who do you think was at our evening service tonight? Yes, Ms. Kathrine Harris (not campaigning) sitting next to Dr. D. James Kennedy, very appropriate dressed, no excess makeup, or all that stuff we have heard from the gang of anti-K.H. and the "drive-by" L.S.M.s "mouthpieces posting their so called "scientific" fake polls in favor of bill "naut" nelson.
I will NOT call them by their names, because they know very well who they are!
Our sermon was conducted by our Dr. Ronald T. Kilpatrick, Minister of Mission. He was preaching the "Christianity Today," IMO very appropriate for Ms. Harris to hear.
My wife and I was sitting two rows away, and afterward I had the privilege to spend about 5-10 minutes talking with Ms. Harris, because as being from Sweden which also her husband is, we were able to communicate on a more privately level. I also told her that we here on FReeper, except from a few "ass-naut" cadet moles, were supporting here.
She and her Statewide Coordinator T.J. told me that in Jacksonville the Mayor, a democRAT was wearing a Kathrine Harris button!
Earlier today they had visit a number of black pastors in Orlando, and they would support her as being tired of empty promises from (D)!!
After our conversation she and T.J. went off with Dr.& Mrs. Kennedy and Dr. Cass from Reclaiming America for Christ to their office for strategy-zing her campaign.
Dr. Cass told me that tomorrow he goes to D.C. meeting with President in the W.H. and together with Center For Christian Statesmanship in D.C. addressing the President for support of the Marriage Protection Amendment.
My wife and I was extremely impressed by Kathrine Harris' friendly and humble personality in our church environment which is NOT typically for politicians visiting our church.
Her visit was a total surprise for us, and it was announced from the pulpit just before the Sermon started at 6:30 PM, and she was greeted with large applause!!! T.J. said they might be back next weekend!??!

Thanks so much for your report on Rep. Harris' visit to your church.

Yes....considering how the 'attack Harris all the time' media has portrayed her.....many are quite surprised when they meet this lovely, articulate and humble lady for the first time.

Because she represents my District I've been fortunate to chat with her on several occasions and in different settings and she is always the same.....gracious and interested in my concerns. I have found her to be a caring listener who is responsive to her constitutents.
