Why Was Barack Obama At CAA?
Every so often, we at Defamer offer our help in solving the mysteries that occasionally intersect with our readers' lives in the entertainment industry. Asks a curious operative:
I saw Senator Barack Obama at CAA [yesterday] afternoon in the lobby with some unidentified people. Can you help us figure this out?
We will freely admit that we have no idea why the distinguished gentleman from Illinois would be strolling through the House That Ovitz Built, unless it was to tour the CAA headquarters' state-of-the-art baby preparation facilities, perform a quick investigation of widely rumored human rights violations of the agency's assistants (though we suspect that he never wound have found the subterranean "mailroom" where underachieving call-rollers are chained together and told their only hope of escape is chewing off the arm of the person to whom they're shackled), or just petitioning Hollywood's most feared agency for a walk-on role in the next Will Ferrell movie. If anyone has the answer, let us know and we'll share it with the world.
Ah, who's CAA?
CAA CAA?
"unless it was to tour the CAA headquarters' state-of-the-art baby preparation facilities"

I think he plans to be the stealth presidential candidate. I think he's jumping the gun, but who knows. It could happen.

And there are over a hundred more.
baby preparation facilities?
This is strange.
The agency's moving out and the building's for rent. Maybe he wants it for his west coast campaign hq as he gears up a presidential run? The rent will only be 1.5 million, and I'm sure Steve Bing would be happy to put up the dough.
Maybe they're cannibals.
In 1991 a young, unknown southern governor came to NYC to meet with David E. Shaw (of D.E. Shaw) and pitch himself as a potential candidate. Shaw wanted to be a king-maker and saw the potential in this Rhodes Scholar Bubba. He agreed to introduce him to Wall Street money and the rest is history.
Osama Obama-Obama Osama, whatever. Has the apeal of an O Banana
He was merely trying to [urgently] find a bathroom, goodness gracious! Happens even to the best of us. Cut him a bit of slack on this one.
Go back and listen to the speech he made at the last Democratic convention. That speech was his entry point into the presidential race of 2008. He will run against Goron and Hitlery. He will be thumped pretty good, but then Hitlery will invite him to be her vice-presidential candidate. Of course Obama will take it. He would be a fool not to. Hitlery-Osama, the press will love it. Then if Hitlery does succomb to all of her evil deeds and get tossed or resigned, we'll have our first African-American president. Women vote, African American vote, Latino vote, post-pardon Jewish vote. She'll go catholic and he'll preach at any African-American church who'll let him in the door.
Meanwhile, we have no one who'll make a stand against them. McCain will get another cancer, Frist is supporting research on fetal stem cells, Jeb will be a laughing stock, so the question will be, "Who will stand in the gap?" I love Alan Keyes, but he's too strident for most people to listen too. The main response of Americans is to ridicule intelligent people.
Any ideas? Who will step up?
The majority of Americans will bow and scrape to get their picture taken with Hitlery and Obama. We are doomed unless good men and women take a stand for what is right, just, and honorable.
Sorry for my occasional rant, but one can only take so much.

Maybe he was looking for Matt Leinart.
