(AP) MILWAUKEE A man suspected of fatally shooting two picnickers and wounding three others in Milwaukee may have fled to Mexico, police said Wednesday.
Police identified the suspect in Monday's shooting as Octaviano Juarez-Corro. He had not been formally charged but Police Captain Timothy Burkee said the process was under way and charges could come this week.
Juarez-Corro, 32, is accused of firing on a group of people at South Shore Park on Memorial Day in what authorities call a domestic dispute possibly relating to recently filed divorce papers.
The shootings left two people fatally wounded with multiple gunshots to the head, police said. Authorities identified the victims as Raymundo Munoz-Silva, 31, and Julio C. Diaz-Guillen, 17, both of Milwaukee.
Burkee said he had no update on the condition of the other three gunshot victims, whose identities were not released.
Among those injured were a 23-year-old woman who was shot in the chest and a 34-year-old man shot in the leg. Both were in stable condition as of Tuesday at a local hospital. A 21-year-old man was treated for a leg wound and released. All are from Milwaukee.
Police are working with federal authorities to investigate whether the suspect fled south of the border, Burkee said at a news conference.
"We know he has Mexican ties. It's a possibility he fled there," he said.
The suspected gunman had been served with divorce papers earlier this month by his wife of less than a year, according to court documents. Records show he was ordered to begin paying $565 a month in child support, starting Thursday, for the couple's 3-year-old daughter.
Juarez-Corro has used aliases including Octaviano Juarez, Octaviano Corro and Octaviano J. Juarez, authorities said.
A wave of violence over the Memorial Day weekend left 28 people injured and four people dead, including the two at the park in Bay View.
The deaths raise the number of homicides in Milwaukee to 38 this year compared to 43 at this point last year, Mayor Tom Barrett said Tuesday. He said he was working to increase police patrols through overtime and additional hires and install street cameras in high-crime areas.
Alderman Robert Donovan said Wednesday he would propose that the city create a community anti-violence task force composed of civic, religious and community leaders. The group would try to identify underlying causes that trigger deadly violence and hopefully suggest solutions and strategies for the mayor and Common Council, he said.
Just committing the ...oh, never mind.
Nobody is saying what his citizenship status is. Have you heard anything about that?
LOL! What a bunch of crap. I'd nearly forgotten what it's like to live in a huge, politically correct city.
Another reason to have a wall...keep them from fleeing back home when they get in trouble with the law.
Illegal, numerous alias's, owes a home
See the link at my reply #7.
The thought of a suspect fleeing to Mexico..who would have ever thought of that..I'm shocked!
I'll say it for you, "Just committing the murders Americans don't want to do!"
Now that's aiming high.
Is Milwaukee a sanctuary city? Nice job libs...
This morning on Fox they were talking about the Violent crimes institute in Atlanta estimating that there are around 240,000 illegal alien sex offenders in the USA with an average of 4 victims each. They also estimate that nearly 100 more show up weekly.
I also found a story about it at WND.

We already know what they'll conclude: it's white male U.S. citizens' fault.
I saw that, and was wondering if there was some additional info on that report somewhere. Thanks for the link!
twelve million to go....
How often have stupid muddled-headed liberals spouted off nonsense like this? You'd think they would be tired and bored of saying the same things over and over again.
I have been warning about this for years. Inability to relate in a healthy way to women is normal in failed third world cultures.
