Dick Morris Thinks Al Gore Can Win Presidency In 2008.

Posted on 05/30/2006 6:32:07 PM PDT by mwfsu84

Just watched Dick Morris on the O' Reilly Factor tonight. He thinks that if Al Gore does decide to run for president in 2008, he can win.

I don't think so.

Morris bases his opinion on the following rationale:

1. People now link the import of Middle East oil with the empowering of terrorists.

2. The Reagan Democrats who voted for Reagan and Bush in 04 did so because both Republicans promised to cut taxes. They'll vote for Gore...according to Morris...because he'll promise to lower gas prices.

3. He thinks the fact that Gore carried the popular vote in 2000 still means something.

First, Bush isn't running in 2008.

Second, environmental policies have played a major role in price increases. We have major gas desposits in the Gulf Coast and oil deposits in ANWAR - but we're forbidden to drill there. We have fewer refineries now than ever - because of environmental regulations. Why Bush hasn't brought this up is a mystery to me, but it's infuriating.

Under a president Al Gore, the US would sign the Koyoto Agreement. That will send gas prices through the roof.

And why would the Reagan Democrats vote for someone who for sure will raise their taxes and gas prices?

Finally, the world has changed since 2000. Al Gore hasn't.

Dick's right. We've elected doofi before, and we'll elect them again. It's been a slide downwards for a while now. The best minds and the best leaders don't win elections in the Da Vinci Code country. It's FICTION , people! Try and predict the state of the state in 2008, and you'll be well on your way to predicting, more or less accurately the weiner of the presidential election. Eye-rak? We'll be out by then, right? Economy? No effect of the $3.00 gallon on it, right? Haditha? Just getting started. Pray that the housing bubble keeps up. I pessimistically predict that the Dixie Chicks will have more influence on the 2008 election than Alan Keyes and Steve Forbes combined.

The toe-licker's looking for a 6-figure job from a former associate. One who also has a common grudge against a former boss.

Morris bases his opinion on the following rationale:

1. People now link the import of Middle East oil with the empowering of terrorists.

I also believe that. But I place the blame on the demoncrats and their support of the environmental wacko's who are preventing the U.S. from drilling off of our coasts.

They would prefer that our elderly freeze to death come winter because they won't be able to afford the price of this foriegn oil.

An enviro-wacko like AlGore will never be President. He can bank on that.

Morris may be astute at analyzing the public's sentiment NOW, but he has no prognostication skills.

If he were a weatherman, he could accurately tell you what the current temperature is, but he would be just guessing about tomorrow's weather.

I saw Morris on O'Reily tonight. Morris says that Reagan Democrats voted for Bush because they like tax cuts.

Morris also said that these same Reagan Democrats are going to vote for Gore because of high gas prices. Of course, Gore is going to raise taxes and gas prices through environment regulation but the Reagan Democrats are going to vote for Gore because he is going to lower gas prices. According to Morris.

None of what Morris said made sense to me, except that Gore would run for President in 2008 because a lot of people (even Democrats) dislike Hillary. I think that Morris might be right on that point and I think Morris may be trying to get hired by the Gore for President campaign.

"That's good news, cause if Dick Morris told me it was sunny, I would bring an umbrella."

ROFL - that's the truth

Who is Al Gore?

He's the man who invented the Internet. But don't take my word on it, just ask him. He'll tell ya all about it.

Dick Morris is certifiably crazy. Just this year Gore is the GOP's wet dream, then Hillary has too much money to lose, then Hillary has too many skeletons in her closet, now Gore can win because he's going to somehow pay for people's gasoline. Give me a break!  Anyone that seriously believes this ninny is certifiable too.

I agree with you.

America will not elect a president who believes that global warming is more dangerous than Islamofascism.

"an entertaining parody of Al Gore and the anti-Global Warming message he has been promoting. The episode stars a South Park version of Al Gore warning of the impending doom that will be caused by the ManBearPig (part man, part bear, part pig) which will be ravaging South Park any second if the townspeople don't do something about it soon. The townspeople of South Park insist that there is no evidence that the ManBearPig existed and they therefore have nothing to fear. In typical South Park fashion, the episode pulls few punches in its sometimes subtle, sometimes less so, commentary on Al Gore's quest to rid the world of the ManBearPig ... or rather ... Global Warming. Funny stuff. Or is it?"

Well, if it came down to it, I'd vote for toe-sucking DICK Morris over Algore.

But in reality, if the nation was THAT screwed up, I'd just shoot myself and be done with it. ;)

Yeah, he covers all sides, then at the end he can say he was right, no matter which way it goes.
