Well my good friends George and Laura have yet to see the movie United 93. To see it they have invited 2 people from each of the families of those that died on 9/11 aboard Flight 93. After a late lunch/early dinner with the President and First Lady but only one of us will be able to view the movie w/ them.
Since my mother has not seen it yet - but is ready to now - she will go in with them to view it...and I will get an up close and personal tour of the White House.
This, on the heels of Memorial Day, should be amazing. It's going to be heavy-duty on my mother but I think she'll handle it well....fingers crossed.
For anyone who has not seen it please do - it is amazing. You'll walk out having gone through every emotion possible in about 90 minutes...and you'll leave knowing full well why we are fighting.
Hope everyone had a safe and great weekend!
God Bless America,
Chris Proud son of Patrick 'Joe' Driscoll Flight 93
Never Forget Never Forgive
Shock probably played a part too.
But it is to the credit to all Americans that they could not even comprehend such an attack. It tells us such attacks are not part of their being and we in no way felt such an attack was forthcoming or justified.
Yet, the muslim terrorists live, eat, and pray for such attacks.
I can't imagine having a god that is served by such acts of cruelty. Love is just not a part of their being.
They are a people to be pitied when they worship at the altar of death, torture, beheadings, and terror. Who would they torture, behead, and enact terror on should they rule the land?
Yet, we have a God that teaches "do unto others", "if you love Me you will keep my commandments", "as you do unto the least of these, you do unto Me".
We are so blessed.
A reminder of what many of us loved in President Bush.
This really gets to me - maybe it is only me - but it hits to the heart of what we love in President Bush and what we need Washington to understand. Being a cowboy is an honor not a trait to be mocked. I hope we have not lost that cowboy in our President.

I sure have
Have the Enchiladas. They kick ass I hear.
Good for you Chris!!!!
Hugz for your Mom.
And, sometimes good things can happen out of the most horrible of circumstances. Enjoy your visit with our President and lovely First Lady, and I hope you report back!
God bless you, Chris! Have a wonderful time, and let us know ALL about it when you get a chance!
Once again, I am proud and amazed by the good company we keep here at FR. You are strong to carry on and I wish you and your family well.
As important as anything in Breaking News to those of us who choose NOT to forget.
No, keep the language and the violence as is, they need to hammer it home as "reality".
I don't think GWB gets to "lurk" anywhere.
I imagine at the end of the day - he runs into his quarters and slams the door and adds the bolt lock.

Hope you have a great day with the Prez and Mrs. Bush.
Please give Laura an extra tight hug from me!
Kudos in Heaven to your Dad and the other heroes of Flight 93.
Chris, I hope you and your mother have a truly memorable day. I'd give anything to be in your shoes, but at the same time, would wish the painful journey that brought you to this point on no one.
We will never forget.

I hope it's a wonderful day for both of you.
May God bless that brave warrior and bring him home safely after the mission is accomplished. I'm sure his dear wife is smiling down at him from heaven.
