The USA has, not will, but has, become a marxist country, ready to join the NWO (on our terms, I'm sure...makes no difference).

Our sovereignty is pretty much gone with NAFTA, CAFTA, Kelo(USSC decision), CampaignFinanceReform...(hahahahaha!), new immigration law crap that is a total capitulation to the NWO (not like we could enforce the good laws already on the books, we're going to enforce NEW laws...yeah, right), congresscritters and senators getting away with outright crimes with the backing and support of many "pubs",......."Ah, shut up nothingnew, nobody wants to hear this! We're happy with our frikkin' tax breaks, our completely ineffective control of the of the WH and both houses of the gubbmint! We have TEE-VEE!!!!"

Feh!

I certainly did not expect "But... it's for the children!" to come from your keyboard. ;-)

Initiatives have not done well as a substitute for legislation. Especially the Ninth Circuit Court in California is against anything that has popular appeal.

Notice that the 2 million price tag would be paid for by "upper income Californians." That's code for anyone above the poverty level.

In principal, I am against turning over even younger children to the tender mercies of government schools.

Excuse me. That's 2 billion dollar price tag.

You and me both! There is plenty to dislike about this initiative.

Why shucks... We could now breed, then just give the offspring directly to the State, to be wards of the State from womb ta tomb!!!

Meathead and the Kindergarten Cop would absolutely love that because it is so European! (kinda like Charchesque)

California will be following the lead set by Tennessee.

We have a lottery supposed to fund college for all who want to go. There was massive shattering of dreams as many realized they had an inferior highschool education and could not hack college work......even after a year of remedial work.

The funds are being redirected to feed the maw of the educators who go through money like fatback thru a goose.

...California will be following the lead

It seems a lot of states are leading... right into a big dark abyss!

I don't feel so bad now. I homeschool my children. My six year old was not into learning reading or writing, so we just went with what he wants to learn. He also is a little less mature than other children his age (this is even in comparison to his brother and sister when they were his age). Lately he has been asking about it and has decided he wants to learn to read and write. Right on time for him to start first grade.

Efforts would be better applied to improving high school, which is a joke.

Colleges get freshmen that hasd straight As in HS, yet are not close to college level work ability.

Around here kindergarten is still optional. It's why I tell people not sure about homeschooling that they can always try it for kindergarten if they want and not lose anything.
