Feel better!!! agghhhhh ear aches are the worst!!!!
I don't know which of you are from Texas, but I just had an interesting conversation with someone in Perry's office. I went looking on his website to find out his 're-election' position on illegal immigration. I know he's suppose to be big on border security (as relates to drugs, coyotes, crime), but I was very surprised to find nothing, not a thing on his position on illegal immigration, amnesty, the Senate Bill, the House Bill...nothing. So I called. Waited for ever and when I asked the woman who finally answered, where I might find information on the website re: this, she said there isn't any. Gov. Perry will NOT comment on his position. On the House Bill? NO. On the Senate Bill, NO.
How can the man be running for re-election for the GOVENOR of TEXAS and NOT comment on this issue? I could not believe it.
It's not a case if cat has his tongue....it's more like he is being held hostage and fears to speak his mind. If not, he is the poorest excuse for a politician in the world. His leadership qualities appear to be N/A for as witnessed by his failure to take a stand on the imminent issue of the day and he definitely shows no responsibility whatsoever to his constituents (attempting to walk both sides of the line?).
Snip:
* Statewide traffic services to keep our roadways safe;
* Statewide emergency response services and support services to the public and the criminal justice community;
* Investigation of criminal activities on state-owned and leased property throughout Ohio, and;
* Security for the Governor and other dignitaries.
LOL! ok...I've known a couple of Sheriff's from Ohio, so I'm sure my info is "tainted"
Wouldn't we all like free medical, low cost education, driving without licenses (drivers or vehicle), insurance, welfare/food stamps and low cost housing? Sign us up for a $2,000 one-time fee. (forgot preferential job treatment) (sarcasm) Incredible!
Snippets: An inability to protect its citizens. The belief that it is above the law. A lack of democracy. Three defining characteristics of the 'failed state'.
That brings up a fourth issue that should deeply concern Americans, and the world: the sharp divide between public opinion and public policy, one of the reasons for the fear, which cannot casually be put aside, that, as Gar Alperowitz puts it in America Beyond Capitalism, "the American 'system' as a whole is in real trouble - that it is heading in a direction that spells the end of its historic values [of] equality, liberty, and meaningful democracy".
Wanted to let the gang here know I will be on minimally, library internet sux -g-
Please keep this thread alive...will miss it and all of my friends
Oh, okay. I didn't know that. ((((Thanks for sharing!)))

La Raza's Own School in LA? More>> |
On Brown vs. Board of Education, Topeka "If Brown was just about letting Black people into a White school, well we dont care about that anymore. We dont necessarily want to go to White schools. What we want to do is teach ourselves, teach our children the way we have of teaching. We dont want to drink from a White water fountain, we have our own wells and our natural reservoirs and our way of collecting rain in our aqueducts. We dont need a White water fountain. So the whole issue of segregation and the whole issue of the Civil Rights Movement is all within the box of White culture and White supremacy. We should not still be fighting for what they have. We are not interested in what they have because we have so much more and because the world is so much larger. And ultimately the White way, the American way, the neo liberal, capitalist way of life will eventually lead to our own destruction. And so it isnt about an argument of joining neo liberalism, its about us being able, as human beings, to surpass the barrier." - Marcos Aguilar, founder and principal of La Academia del Pueblo More>> |

Thank you for posting this article!
I already knew that American Hispanics are very strongly opposed to amnesty, and their reasons for opposing anmnesty are well stated in this article.
((((((((((Thanks again!)))))))
I think more and more politicans will be clamming up until after the Conferees meet on 06-06-06.
I worked for one of those once. Pretty (handsome) on the exterior, ugly on the interior. He was from Texas and had that smooth talking drawl....the one that didn't impress me.
Pair of Mission public works department employees nabbed on drug charges
Snip: These are the fifth and sixth public works department employees to face federal charges during the past year, but City Manager Julio Cerda said no one is specifically targeting that department.
K-8 Taxpayer based school backed by group seeking to retake the Southwest USA
Snip: Taxpayers along with radical groups that aim to reconquer the Southwestern U.S. are funding a Hispanic K-8 school led by a principal who believes in racial segregation and sees the institution as part of a larger cultural "struggle."
The Academia Semillas del Pueblo Charter School was chartered by the Los Angeles Unified School District in 2001, local KABC radio host Doug McIntyre who has been investigating the school for the past three weeks told WND.
Among the school's supporters are the National Council of La Raza Charter School Development Initiative; Raza Development Fund, Inc.; and the Pasadena City College chapter of MeCHA, or Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan.
"La Raza," or "the Race," is a designation by many Mexicans who see themselves as part of a transnational ethnic group they hope will one day reclaim Aztlan, the mythical birthplace of the Aztecs. In Chicano folklore, Aztlan includes California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas.
The school teaches the ancient Nahutal language of the Aztecs and its base-20 math system. Another language of emphasis is Mandarin, even though no Chinese attend.
Their actions speak much louder than their words ever could.
What's up with the Texas Rangers?
Someone (can't remember) told me they could "shoot to kill."
Is that true?
Noam isn't known for holding back or not speaking his mind.
Thanks for posting!
Snip: Already more than $190 billion moves along the route which connects 71 million people.
Coming up with ways to make the route even more profitable is the goal of more than 200 delegates from Canada, the United States, and Mexico at North Americas SuperCorridor conference, or NASCO.
Formed in 1994, the non-profit organization has representatives from both the public and private sector.
Thanks for this information, (((((((Smartass))))))!
