The bitter battle over the immigration bill has become a legislative minefield in this election year, though it's still unclear whether November will see any heavy political fallout as a result. To put it mildly, this issue is a thorny wilderness, festering intra-party divisions and brewing voter backlashes. It could inflict additional wounds on George W. Bush's battle-scarred presidency, shrink the GOP's congressional Republican majority and, possibly, hurt some vulnerable Democrats. Let's slice up some of these pitfalls. Stand Up For America ! |
We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Sure...
Global warming as presented, is complete bullshit. The immigration problem is a problem in the southern states, but not here. Most of the illegals in MA are Irish, I believe.
I think they want to make a united norte america with Canada, US and Mexico. Like NAFTA, a great idea for the powerful and a lousy one for me.

(((((((((((((((((((ROTFLMAO!)))))))))))))))))
That's what I've been saying all along - the only winners with current immigration plans are employers who use illegals and who contribute heavily to both political parties. Money talks - especially corporate political contributions.
The plan to replace the American dollar with the "Amero"
Snip: Pastors 2001 book Toward a North American Community called for the creation of a North American Union that would perfect the defects Pastor believes limit the progress of the European Union. Much of Pastors thinking appears aimed at limiting the power and sovereignty of the United States as we enter this new super-regional entity. Pastor has also called for the creation of a new currency which he has coined the Amero, a currency that is proposed to replace the U.S. dollar, the Canadian dollar, and the Mexican peso.
I wish I had enough faith in our nation's politicians to believe they were capable of the same.
Heard it suggested on TV today that Al Gore may be considering another political run - and if he were to run with Hitlary, it would be another Clinton/Gore ticket. Hoping they were kidding. Once was more than enough.
Try it on this American woman and you'll wish you'd kept your sorry tail in Mexico.
Snip: A coalition of Oaxacan immigrant groups wants to rename a Pico-Union park after former Mexican President Benito Juarez, a Zapotec Indian often regarded as the Abraham Lincoln of Mexico.
4 groups of illegals arrested near 103 wildfire
Snip: A National Park Service ranger, who wanted his name to remain anonymous for his own safety in the area, tells News 4 at least four groups of illegal immigrants have been apprehended since the fire started. Because night activity is harder to monitor, about eight law enforcement officers are sent with fire crews to help protect them.
Latest immigration news from Kansas
Snip: Jaime Hernandez-Rojas, 39, who is a Mexican citizen and lawful permanent resident of the United States, was charged with transporting a group of illegal aliens arrested Wednesday in Haysville. When deputies approached the van, passengers fled on foot. Deputies caught 16 passengers and the driver. National origins: Mexico (1), Guatamala (4), El Salvador (11).
Snip: The "Stop Employment of Illegal Aliens Act, would make it a felony to knowingly employ an illegal alien. Brooks calls it the "See Ya Act," playing off its acronym, SEIAA.
Brooks, a Madison County commissioner from Huntsville, said the recent shooting death of Huntsville police officer Daniel Golden and a rash of recent traffic fatalities in Huntsville caused by illegal immigrant drivers motivated him.
Illegal aliens in Virginia and Tennessee
Snippets: But the story gets worse. She needed a translator because in two years she still can't speak a word of English. She just popped two babies, was illiterate, and unskilled. Known as "anchor babies," illegals seek to have children on US soil that by a technicality in the Constitution makes their children automatically citizens. As automatic US citizens, her kids get welfare, she is on welfare, and the taxpayers are stuck with the bills. Good going WCYB.
The stories are many, willing employers in need of willing employees. But if labor is tight, shouldn't wages rise? They're not. A recently completed technical study, in fact, found just the opposite in high-tech fields. Starting salaries adjusted for inflation of computer engineers with masters led the fall, down 14 percent over the last five years. Electrical engineers and computer scientists fared only slightly better. Quoting John Miano, Programmers Guild, "We have a huge influx of low-wage workers coming into the technology fields which are holding back wages and which are causing employment problems for U.S. workers."
Bill Tucker, "The impact goes beyond wages. On online job sites, employers are very direct in specifying that they have jobs only for H1-B workers, going so far in some cases as to require that they be from a specific location. If misery loves company, the engineers need look no further than the construction industry. Overall, construction wages last year were actually one penny lower than hourly wages in 1965, when the wages are compared using constant dollars. It was a finding that surprised even the researcher."
ALAN TONELSON, U.S. BUSINESS & INDUSTRY COUNCIL, "I was struck by the fact that after this enormous housing boom that we've had, certainly since the late 1990s, that wages in the construction industry, which, as we keep hearing is a major user of illegal immigrants, are no higher than they were 40 years ago."
Illegal aliens in Ohio and Workman's Comp
Snip: The Ohio statute expressly includes aliens without differentiating between legal or illegal aliens. At least one Ohio court has held that the statute therefore encompasses illegal aliens. The court noted that if the Ohio legislature had intended to cover only legal aliens, it could easily have done so, since the Ohio unemployment compensation statute makes such a distinction, and the same workers compensation statute defining employee specifically excludes certain persons from the definition (e.g., ministers, officers of a family farm corporation, etc.) but not illegal aliens. See Rajeh v Steel City Corp., 157 Ohio App.3d 722.
How does this man get reelected time after time?
If people are not outraged they just aren't paying attention.
You're welcome :)
It is off of the "Full Moon Fever" release.
The man who says that GW is a "right wing extremist". Where does he come up with this stuff?
