We have a bunch of illegals here in Charlotte too, particularly on the east side, near Eastland Mall.

In fact, an uptown panhandler reported being mugged last week, and the cops checked out his story, determined he was here illegally, and turned him over to ICE.

The mayor publicly criticized the police chief, saying that immigrants would be less likely to report crimes if they knew their own background would be investigated.

Fine. Maybe our FBI major crime stats will go down.
