Republican Mayor Michael Bloomberg thrust himself into the national immigration debate Wednesday, advocating a plan that would establish a DNA or fingerprint database to track and verify all legal U.S. workers.

Please allow me to eloquently respond to this idea in the manner of a true American .... F$%^ THAT!

I'm a 53 year old physician, born and raised in the United States. I served 8 years on active duty in the Navy as a doctor. I have been involved in a 300 physician multispeciatly clinic for 20 years now. This year I was asked to provide proof that I was an American citizen. I did so with a passport.

I'm not an illegal. I don't need to be hassled. Our government has made no attempts to secure the border. Yet I am asked to provide proof that I belong here.

This is just one more attempt to harrass the legals in an attempt to pretend that the government is doing something. Thanks but no thanks.
