SHEPARD SMITH JUST ANNOUNCED: HOUSE APPROVES ANWR DRILLING!!
"They'll trade ANWR for amnesty"
No way.
We want both.
The House had the opportunity to slip it in past the Senate in a budget bill, and they balked at their one real chance. They're a bunch of frauds who only pass it when they know the Senate will kill it.
The 225-201 roll call today by which the House voted for a bill to open an Alaska wildlife refuge to oil drilling.
A "yes" vote is a vote to pass the bill.
Voting yes were 27 Democrats and 198 Republicans.
Voting no were 170 Democrats, 30 Republicans and one independent.
Each House has something to say about the other House's legislation, once it's been passed in the originating House. It's still news, even if only one House has passed a bill.
What's funny is the people of Alaska want it but, the people in the other states just wanna bitch.
He has consistently voted against it.
Most Americans want it except the Congressional Ghetto Trash and Congressional (too good for everyone else) Elites.
Ping for later viewing...this is GREAT news!
PARTYYYYYYYYYY now...cause tomorrow the Senate will doom it!! CHIT!
>>>The American people have spoken and he and the rest are being called on the carpet. Long overdue, but heartening non the less. <<<
I hope you are right but would be curious to know what evidence you have that McC is "over".....and I don't understand your statement "the rest are being called on the carpet".
Who are the rest - Senators?
Enlighten me please.....
Post 155 didn't list his name among senators who voted against it last year.
I think we've been through this before and that the Senate did, in fact, prevent it.
That will happen again.
It only takes 40 in the Senate to block anything due to their "Senate Rules for Idiots."
Oh...where?
Never mind.
Won't matter, weasels and RINOs in the Senate will not let this pass. The House has not been the problem on ANWR, it's the Senate princes and princesses who think that their junkets in private jets can run on hot air.
In related news Al Gore announced that "ANWAR is where Manbearpig lives and no drilling should occur until Manbearpig is killed! I'm serial!"
It takes 40 to sustain a filibuster. You listed 5 republicans
I guess since all 45 dems are on your side, you left them out. (/sarcasm)
just more distraction from the problems with illegals
That's the part that mystifies me.
You'd think that with three dollar a gallon gas there'd be some desire to drill for more oil.
At what point will gasoline become so expensive that we stop worrying about the Caribou and the mosquitos?
Obviously the people in California and New York are much more aware of the conditions in Alaska than the Alaskans. Aren't they?
