Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to let her know how much she is loved.
Post your prayers, encouragements, jokes, pictures or memories, so she will have them to read when she gets back home.
There is really no need for apology. You were hurting as much as I and, I'm sure, were simply trying to reach out to grasp a tangible part of her as we all are at this time. That's not selfishness to me, but rather an expression of your love for Mom.
Thank you for being such a wonderful "sistah" to her.
Love,
Steve

Thank you so very much for that video, it was awesome. Made me cry and made me laugh. Your dear Mom was the best of the best. I am so sorry, my condolences to all of you. I never met your Mom in person, but I feel like I knew her so well. I love your Mom dearly and will miss her so very much. Take good care of yourselves. Your Mom is looking down on all of you, and very proud of her dear family that we all came to know.
God Bless All
Colleen (deadhead)
That is wonderful! She WILL be with you wherever you go. :-)
Welcome to FreeRepublic, Morgan.
Your grandma spoke of you with lots of love. You will remember all the good times. Hold your grandma close to your heart, she is there with you. Take care and God Bless ya. Your grandma was so very happy with her life, a woman of wisdom with a wonderful sense of humor. A wonderful, caring person, and that is what we all strive to be...what your Grandma was. And a Marine too :-) I wish that I had met your Grandma.
Take Care, Morgan
Regards,
Colleen
Prayers for all.

May God comfort and hold you close..I am putting you on my ping list for Maggie's memorial tomorrow..It is Military Monday at the Finest and it will be dedicated to Maggie.
Maj's illustration was wonderful.I am so glad it brought you comfort. We know well Maggie's love of flowers and of God's beauty. We shared that love. I cannot claim to ever have been the gardener Maggie was at all, however.
Please know you are in our prayers and in our hearts.
Wow! Whoopie! I now have nephews and grand nieces and brother-in-law, a whole family! Now I'm really crying. You could not have done me any greater honor than to call me Aunt Nan. Thank you sooooooooo very much.
Thank you for your words. This is a wonderful thread about a very well loved person.
I am SO sorry to hear this, but I know she rejoices in her new life in His presence. Prayers for her family.
She and TC are now jointly standing guard on the streets of heaven.
Great! You picked a great handle, because you are always "in His hands". I'm so happy that you got to have your Grandmamma's cross. It will help to remind you of her, especially in the hard times.
We are so happy to have you join Free Rep. You will gain an education. We have some great teenagers that are members and nobody can tell which ones they are, they are sometimes smarter than us old folks.
The owner of the site, Jim Robinson, does not allow some things, such as curse words, racism, etc. The rules are posted somewhere. There are certain publications whose contents we are not allowed to post, except for a short excerpt. The fun threads are the daily ones. Freeper Canteen, A Day in the Life of President Bush, and the best one is A Few of Free Republic's Finest. Sometimes you can find stuff that will help you with your homework. So explore around and find the things that interest you. We are so happy that you have joined us. You will be "adopted" in short order. ((((((inhishands)))))))
I will confess I bought a little pillow and had not sent it. It was to be a homecoming present, with some other little ditties.
The pillow had the words "Don't Fence Me In" and while I am so sorry I didn't get it mailed, I intend to hold on to it and let it, and her, be my guidon for the rest of my life. She gave more to me in a very short time than most folks could give in a lifetime. This one woman gave an entirely new dimension to the words, Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Semper Fi, Maggie... Semper Fi.
Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above, Don't fence me in. Let me ride through the wide open country that I love, Don't fence me in. Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze, And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees, Send me off forever but I ask you please, Don't fence me in.
Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle Underneath the western skies. On my Cayuse, let me wander over yonder Till I see the mountains rise.
I want to ride to the ridge where the west commences And gaze at the moon till I lose my senses And I can't look at hovels and I can't stand fences Don't fence me in.

May LadyX rest in God's peace.
My prayers and condolences to her family and friends.
Semper fidelis,
Lancey
The grieve is obviously being felt well beyond the family and immediate loved ones of this Marine. A burden now has been lifted from your heart for her. She no longer is constrained by the pain, confusion, and restrictions she has recently had to face. Now she is with a loving God who will provide for her needs for a long long time.
Imagine the Grand Parade they are having, with our Maggie on the reviewing stand, taking the "Eyes Right" and the Salutes.
Of course in future such parades she will be up front, lead guidon bearer once more.
