The British scientist developed the web in 1989 as an academic tool to allow scientists to share data. The internet was developed by a DARPA project, not by some British scientist guy.

Well, you have to distinguish between the "internet" and the "web". He made the network much more user friendly than before.

Yes, the NET was invented by DARPA, but the WWW and HTTP protocol were created by Berners-Lee and associates at CERN . . . . .using the internet to send text and images. . .
