"Gibson says, "What worries me is that people will take this as fact. "

What? Was he talking about his film, The Patriot? Get over yourself, Mel!

You don't get it, do you. The claim of Christianity, which has driven the development of mankind for two thousand years, is that the Creator of heaven and earth made himself known to Abraham, to Moses and in the course of time, made himself known as the man Jesus. Both the book and the movie make light of that claim. It says a lot about the demise of Christianiity in the West that they dare to do so. It says something else that they would not dare make a "major motion picture" based on a book that likewise mocks Islam.

Oh, guess Mel has no right to speak up when Jesus is mocked, lied about for the almighty dollar?

Since when is Jesus and his crucification and life to be the subject for any form of fiction those that do not honor Him choose to make?

This is like the "art"? where they show all kinds of defamation of Christ and we have to accept because of freedom of speech. Well, I can tell you man may tell us we have to accept it - but God looks at it a lot differently.
