Bush's top advisers have recommended a broad new approach to dealing with North Korea that would include beginning negotiations on a peace treaty, NYT planning to report in Thursday Page Ones... Developing...
*giggle*
Write us up a comparative analysis of Carter's foreign policy in Iran (include Operation Eagle Claw), relative to President Bush's Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Or you could do a comparative study of Walter Mondale and Dick Cheney, Cyrus Vance and Condoleezza Rice, or Harold Brown and Donald Rumsfeld.
In your analysis, explain the successes of the Carter administration relative to the failures of the Bush administration in foreign policy.
Then again, you could do domestic policy too...........I'm sure you could come up with a lot of data to back up the successes of the Carter administration's economic policies compared to Bush failures.
I can't wait to read your report, child. Get cracking, OK?
Calling out DU invaders is an appropriate activity when the express goal of the left is to tear us apart from within by pretending to be conservatives. Destroying FR from within and helping the RATS to win in November is exactly what they want.
If you have a problem with those of us who can spot the imposters and call them on it, I have no problem with that. You have the right to object to the protection of the forum if you want to.
Just be careful of the 'if you don't agree with Bush you're a troll accusations'........they are ALWAYS wrong, because no one on this board thinks that. There are no such people around here.
True, true....pardon my oversight; I do know better. :-)
Can't go global without North Korea getting into the act. Ping! People are tortured and starved in NK. I suppose that will continue even if there are talks.
More like a piece treaty. We'll take a piece of this and you can have a piece of that. Don't you just luv going global?
That's a cease fire... :)

Very well said!!!
I figure you have it right, we are making the Chinese, the N.Koreans, and the Mullahs in Tehran some detailed offers that they had better not refuse. Japan, Australia, India are all contributing much to a military block with us that can force the issue. And then there's Israel which has a thousand nukes and LONG arms. Time for the bluff to be called.
First of all, it's in the Times. Did they get this information from Larry Johnson? Joe Wilson? ;)
Seriously? I heard it was Newsmax that was making the offer
So true. And the ironic thing is, I went to Saigon, Vietnam a few months ago and the people there treat Americans very respectfully you'd almost think we'd won the war for them. Inside they have the VC and go wearing American flag bandanas and T-Shirts.
S. Korea will love us again when we re-locate away from the DMZ, and booming EAST Europe loves us now. Vietnam is jumping through all the reform hoops so we will get them into the WTO and you know they have asked themselves why in the bleep did we ever follow Uncle HO and postpone our economic and political development for FIFTY years??
My comments are about the Vietnamese People. They do NOT go around wearing American Flag T-Shirts and wear red, white and blue bandanas so that their government will get into the WTO.
He campaigned against bilateral talks with North Korea.
True, he did. I dont know about holding a President to such a campaign promise if something from the other side has given him reason to change his mind. After all, we're not talking about social security reform, school vouchers or drilling ANWR...we're talking war and peace...
Hmm...come to think of it though...we still are not drilling. You may have a point
