You're forgetting one thing.
Our American system requires everyone to play by the same set of rules.
Those who choose to follow the rules get punished by paying the market rate for their employees, plus incredible payroll taxes and worker compensation rates.
You do believe in the same set of rules for everyone? This is a simple Yes or No answer.

In a perfect world there would be no rules, labor would be at whatever the market would bear. No minimum wage or living wage which is what piecework is. You are paid what you are worth.

That said, due to security after the border is closed then ID cards are vital to determine who is criminal and who is not. So no, employers who are hiring illegals are only reacting to the market and until there is a guest worker program they should continue what they are doing to survive.
