But here's a little irony: the Sunday LA Times magazine had an article profiling how liberal WestLA Jews are losing control of the Calif Dem party to blue-collar Hispanics. They even had quotes from contested primaries where the 'new' natives didn't think the 'old' reps were "their people".

So it's not just conservatives who will lose out under amnesty; our counterparts on the left will be shoved out of their own party as well.

That's the dirty little secret. Despite the fact that one out of every three Dem votes is black or hispanic, the Dem party is run by a thin veneer of white liberals. Once the black and hispanic voters start clamoring for more authority and control of the party, including more candidates for state-wide and national elections, the white liberals will be forced from power with nowhere to go. I remember what happened to nine termer incumbent Stephen Solarz (D,NY) when the compostion of his district changed to mostly Puerto Rican voters. He lost in the primaries to Nydia Velazquez. She's still there.
