I can disagree with Bush and the Republcans over this issue or any other and still not want to side with Clinton, Reid, Pelosi, Kennedy, Kerry, et al. I despise everything they stand for.
I think 99% of the people here agree with that, it's just the vehicle for change we disagree on. Many of us feel there is way too much of a Republican slide toward liberalism and the best way to acheive change is to vote a wake-up call to RNC leadership with a vote for real conservatives, not Specters & McCains.
Many of us conservatives feel abandoned by the current crop of lliberal republicans. Jack Kennedy was more conservative than the average 2006 republican, it seems.
Even so, some will brand you a disloyal Bushbasher. (Well, not you, maybe, but anyone else who dares to disagree with the president).
"The Almighty says this must be a fashionable fight. It's drawn the finest people."
But the problem is, on this issue, Bush IS sideing with those people. What do you do then?
