Note, please, that once you've WON, you can even slow down building the Fence to a snail's crawl, if you don't really want to build it in the end. But you've got to give the BorderBots something NOW. The Fence is the big enchilada. Promise it. Start building pieces of it. And win in November.

Does anyone with direct experience in a Congressman's office know what would constitute "critical mass" in terms of numbers of letters received?

I have written to all GOP senators and to House members who I think are more likely to hold the line. Thus far, I have recieved replies from 80% or thereabout. I regret to say, that I think most were form letters, but admittedly, I sent them similar letters too :)

Universal prosecution and deportation and penalties are unreasonable and unrealistic. But a FENCE, that is reasonable, and realistic, and in the end it is the MOST IMPORTANT piece of the immigration battle anyway, because THAT stops the flow.

I agree with you on the fence. I think that is doable this year in a compromise too. I think a universal ID card with strong sanctions for hiring illegals would be a lot more effective, however.

If the Dems take over

The Dems arent going to take over...maybe the House but nothing else. The Dems are incapable of offering anything but anger. They have shown time after time that they are capable of pulling defeat out of the teeth of apparent victory. They are losers. Maybe if they do take the House, the President might finally use his veto. If he does and the Senate uses its fillibuster, hell will freeze over before the Dems control anything.

Whether we are in the World Court or not the United States will survive. Even if we were in it for a while, we could always make the decision to withdraw.

Whether Roe v. Wade is overturned or not the United States will survive. It might take years for peoples hearts to be softened. If it is ever overturned more than likely the states will decide on abortion restrictions. Local politicians will be making the decisions.

Whether taxes are cut or raised, the United States will survive. Taxes are raised and lowered on a regular basis and the decision can always be reversed.

Supreme Court Justices come and go and the United States has, and will, survive. Two of the most liberal Justices, Kennedy and Souter, were nominated by Republican Presidents.

IF THE INVASION OF OUR COUNTRY BY ILLEGAL ALIENS IS NOT STOPPED THE UNITED STATES WILL NOT SURVIVE. There is no changing your mind, there is no turning back, there will be no bill that can be passed or Supreme Court decision that could be made that will put the genie back in the bottle. Once our culture, our social institutions and, yes, our representative government(make no mistake they will become voters) is changed by the massive influx of uneducated, low skilled, socialist leaning, illegal aliens the United States, as we have known it and as the Founders intended it to be, will cease to exist.

This is an overriding issue that must be addressed NOW.
If we fail now, soon it will be to late.
