Maybe we should have a Freeper poll as to whether we think Dubya is as good as a Ruth Chris steak.

Nobody gets banned for anything other than violation of posting guidelines.
Let me help you with that:
Some people get banned for what may be a violation of posting guidelines while others get away with it.

If you have ever had a steak at a Ruths Chris restaurant, you know that sometimes they bring that wonderful steak to your table with a sprig of parsley on it. I hate parsley. Hate it. If I were to treat my steak the way some of us want to treat our President, I would have to throw out the steak, due to that nasty parsley that comes with it. I can deal with the parsley to get the steak, and that is what I am asking FReepers to do. Great rant, and nice analogy. I would only add that if you don't want the steak with a sprig of parsley, the alternative choice is a great big parsley-only salad.

One of the reasons I despise libs is because I can't stand people that refuse to think for themselves. Besides it's fun to poke fun at the overly sensitive. You don't despise libs much since you are actively working for them if you love ridiculing those that support the President of the United States.

As a newcomer I tend to assume that anybody with a '98 signup date is a battle hardened proven conservative Freeper. There was a period during which the disrupters who signed up in '98 were so active that I got into the habit of checking the "Member Since" dates of particularly egregious posters.
The majority of them had '98 signup dates.

If they can tell us their opinions, why can't we know their names?<<
Yep. I did not support going into Iraq at the time that we did, in the way that we did but we have made an American commitment to the war. We cannot afford to elect people who do not take that responsibility and commitment seriously.

Ok, then. I'm going to make a thread asking that the Vice President be respected too. And it better damn well make it to breaking news. Good, see, you can support this administration. That did not hurt did it.
And, I had written you off as hopeless.

Great post.
The Republican party is a coalition of economic and social conservatives.
The social conservatives are upset that Bush is siding with Ted Kennedy on this issue. Keep ignoring them, and they will stay home, just like the economic conservatives punished Bush I in 1992.
When Republicans act like Democrats low/middle income voters stop caring or they vote their pocket book. Kennedy and Reid had nothing but praise for Bush's speech.
A lot of FReepers never seem to understand. Most people don't make 100K a year and don't give a damn about the capital gains cut or a balanced budget.

Some people get banned for what may be a violation of posting guidelines while others get away with it. That is true but that is life. It just depends on which way the wind is blowing. Sometimes you are on the right side, sometimes your not.

"We should stop calling people Bushbots. It's not fair."
"How about Lemmings?"
No no no.
We have to stop this.
Pukin' Dog's right:
shooting into a circle isn't going to do any of us any good.
What we need to do is respect the Border Conservatives enough to give them SOMETHING - their real fence, that's all, why NOT give it to them? - so that they stay in ranks.
We need to revive Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment: "Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican."
The BorderBots shouldn't be hating the Bush loyalists, or vice versa. They should be talking it out, understanding what the demands are, and accomodating each other.
How about this:
WE give YOU the Fence you want, from sea to sea, and we start building it this year.
And YOU promise to give US your votes in November, to keep the Republican majority.
Political horsetrading is needed.
Political namecalling isn't.
Have you ever concluded a sale with a shopkeeper who called you names? No.
We have to talk to each other with respect.

I wish I'd been as smart as you at your dumbest! I voted FOR Clinton. Some conservatives may think the country will benefit from a "house divided" in thge sense that if no one party dominates, we'll have gridlock and threfore government will cease to grow. Even if that was true, it severely handicaps the United States in the most important issue of our time--- the WOT. But it's not true in any event, and never has been.

Democrats will give us world courts, global taxes, pro partial birth abortionists on the courts, socialism, Kyoto, destroy the economy, nationalized healthcare, and will leave Iraq and our enemies will rejoice.
I think there's a little bit more to what Democrats will do to this country and far more reason to vote Republican than just the few items you mentioned.
