Is there some kind of implication that the great unwashed '04-or-later Freepers are somehow defective? Sounds a little elitest.

We were infiltrated in '04 and that is a fact.

Thank you for the inspiration! So many times I have almost given up on this place, it's things like this that remind me of why I stay.

So, you are not a republican - that explains why you desire to destroy from within. And, you are a believer that the only way to "teach" republicans is to make them lose.

Well - you apparently are on the wrong forum and I suggest you might be a lot happier with other non-GOP, non-conservative voters.

Because here - we will fight your view.

We need more important threads like this in breaking news and less silly and useless threads like "Oil pipeline has exploded in Nigeria (200 feared dead)". I mean, who cares about that crap happening halfway around the world when we have more important and urgent events coming directly from someone's mind?

That's it - let's stay the course - some mishaps will happen, but for a minority, conservatives are doing very, very well - jump ship on the Republicans now and it will be a giant step back.

Forgot something - Besides being a delegate etc, run for office! Whether a party office or state/federal elected office all help.

V, I love your posts ... but I'm not as certain as you are that chastened Republicans will come back after a defeat with a conservative agenda and a big fence.

It's just as likely they will conclude they lost because Iraq is not going well and gas prices are too high.

They may even conclude that the House anti-illegals stance cost them too many Latino votes.

I'd hate to hand the Speaker's gavel to Pelosi, give up our imminent victory in the courts, and embolden the Democrat party for years to come ... just to "send a message" that never got there anyway.

I believe that is because for some of you, there is no history of any positive comments to balance the negativity. I have challenged some I suspected of trolling to offer me a positive comment about Bush. Most of the time, they seem to have great difficulty finding anything good to say about the man. I would advise all those who suspect someone to be a troll to take a look at their posting history before making an accusation.

So you paste in, for us, the well-know statement from our founder.

And do you see your role as an enforcer who is authorized to determine when a poster violates the spirit of the founder's direction and to mug him with words like "useless" and "insane" and to imply his lack of patriotism because there is no state flag on his profile page? Is this your contribution?

Vicomte13, who needs no assistance from me in his defense, may be wrongheaded in many of his posts. But he is a particularly erudite, careful, and unfailingly polite poster who, IMO, makes a valuable contribution.

And your contribution is to mug him?

Your behavior, and others like you, is what makes me question how much I want to participate here.

You seem to be suffering from some sort of guilt complex, Nino. No one has ever said that opposing amnesty makes one a Dem mole. Not even close. (I oppose amnesty too).

But your protesting an accusation that doesn't exist did give you an opportunity to slander Bush supporters and call us names, now didn't it?

Well, no, see here's the thing. If we dare go against the almighty pukin, we get suspended. Just ask Sir Gawain.

You apparently forbid us from disagreeing with him.

Excellent and thank you for bringing up the First Lady because that yesterday was the most pathetic display I'd seen on FR, ever.

Those people in Washington do not even cut your lawn,...

You just had to make it all about illegal immigration didn't you.
You were doing so well there for a few moments.

;^) Great rant PD!

Why would you even wonder about that, Lucy? I'm a Bush-Bot, but disagree with President Bush regarding the illegal invasion.

Perhaps because most of us who vocalize our displeasure are being called traitors and Democrat operatives. You are now attacking those who have only been members since '04.
