Actually, I did once. It was at Helena Montana. We had to divert there for bad weather and they only had a taxiway open while they repaired their main runway. My beautiful landing was only eclipsed by the unrestricted climb out I gave them for their world class service after we landed.
This thread is moving along very fast and is highly entertaining.
I consider attacks on the first lady to be out of bounds. I don't know what that's all about. Maybe someone can enlighten me. I have no problem with civility. It's the Bush defenders that rant and rave and call names and impugn character. The rest of us who disagree are just defending ourselves.
But we are real conservatives, not trolls. My pedigree here goes back to 1998. They lost my registration somehow in 2000, but I've been here that long. I'm a Ronald Reagan, Jesse Helms, Winston Churchill loving conservative and a follower of Jesus Christ. And I'm so mad at the repeated betrayals of the Republican establishment I'm ready to walk away and let them turn the place into Guatemala, which they want to do anyway and don't need my help to accomplish.
I'm voting for the Republican ticket. All of it. We have a good ticket here in Arizona, worthy of support. But I have also been given a ballot in the past with John McCain and Jim Kolbe on it, and I would no more vote for those two venomous snakes than for Ted Kennedy and Braney Frank.
But I am off the reservation on this president. I am your ally. A reluctant one. I'm voting Republican. But I am finished with George Bush in any fashion. The man is a better liberal than conservative. He is wrecking this country. He has surrendered our nation to Vicente Fox. I expect to be able to make those points without being called names.
You want peace, you got it. But you Bush supporters also have to allow us to vent our anger at the betrayals of this president without labeling us "trolls," "cranks," "nutjobs" or "Buchananites." Notice I haven't called you guys the favored term for supporters of the president, nor labeled you otherwise. Let's see how long your side can avoid the same.
Of course you haven't. We pull them.
It's one heck of a GOOD start, coupled with the NG assisting the BP.
Lord have mercy, are we hearing this vote correctly?
Reid and Obama - No.
Ooops, Reid just changed and voted - aye.
83 - 16!
YES, IT PASSED!
cluck cluck.
I hope someone puts up Sessions admen. when the final tally of votes when this is over.
Is agreed too.
I agree that XA was over the line in his post. But I believe that you judging him as a troll after reading just a few posts is simply reactionary namecalling.
And they stubbornly refuse to get it. They continue to dig in their heels on this like they did, the Miers nomination and the port deal.
I have no use for any of them any more. Like you say, they think they are so intellectually above Bush and the rest of us, standing up for "conservative" principles!
phooey!
Sessions R-AL Amendment:
Funds construction for 370 miles of fence and 500 miles of vehicle barriers along the US-Mexico border.
Passed: 83
Against: 16
Yes,
calling XA a troll was, well.... evident that you hadn't seen all his previous posts.
Thats all.
And thank you for the respite.
Becki
Session's Amendment passed 84-16.
Session's Amendment was about building a fence through 300 miles and barriers along 500 miles...
Sure. But I don't wear blinders and I always look in the rear view mirror as well as out all the windows. It's the best way I know of to know where you actually are.
What in the present is it that you don't think I am able to look at?
What RQ said!
I've decided to call it "The Highway of troller death" after that massacre in Iraq during GW1
That's a good start. There, there's my positive post quota for the month.
Don't miff the Queen darlin',
Don't miff the Queen.
Are you a moderator, or a floor leader?
And you forgot the </sarc> tag.
