He might be, but Congressmen can't raise the money Governors or Senators can....

This State gave Huckabee and the GOP a good chance to show what they were made of...
Wanna bet the next Gov. is a Democrat? Thanks, Mike!

I agree. Allen has been firm in this amnesty mess, and he appears to be an authentic conservative. At the moment, I can think of no one better.

I like Huckabee. He has been a good friend to this web site, better than any of the other possible candidates for President. One lesson I've learned in politics is: support your friends.

Nativism is a word used by leftwing ideologues to demean and degrade the idea that citizens' interests should take prioirty over those of criminal aliens.
Last post I saw on Huckabee, he was yucking it up with a hispanic pressure group about how pretty soon hispanic migrants would be the majority in this country. This guy may be a good governor of Arkansas but he has a loose wire somewhere upstairs.

"I do believe some of it is driven by racism or nativism," he said of the opposition within his party to Mr. Bush's view that illegal aliens should not be deported but rather fined and eventually allowed U.S. citizenship. "It's not amnesty to make people pay for breaking the law," Mr. Huckabee said. As president, he said, he would have no problem working on common goals with fellow Arkansan Bill Clinton -- or with other Democrats for that matter. Three more nails into the coffin of the Huckster's presidential (guffaw) bid. Any self respecting conservative FReeper that votes for him cannot feign ignorance of what he has come to embrace. We Arkansans tried warning everyone that we could about Bubba back in 1991-92 and you see what happened when it was ignored. Now we're sounding the alarm again, this time for the Republicans. Will Republicans heed the warning? - OB1

Good luck Huckster, the field is chock full of sellout sacks of crap. What is your claim to additional treason?

Let's look at it.
A guy embraces, word for word, a speech made by a President with a popularity rating that could only be described as abysmal on a topic that has sent his supporters to the sidelines in droves.
I'm not sure the country is ready for a guy this politically astute. LOL

No one's perfect.
Huckabee's my second choice, after Hunter.
