This morning President and Mrs. Bush greeted Australian Prime Minister John Howard and his wife, Janette to the White House in an official South Lawn Arrival Ceremony as part of a state visit, followed by a meeting of the two leaders in the Oval Office, and a joint statement to the press in the East Room. There will be an official State Dinner at the White House this evening.
This afternoon President Bush congratulated the WNBA 2005 National Champion, Sacramento Monarchs at a ceremony in the East Garden of the White House, where he accepted a shirt and championship ring.

Its a bit difficult to take the computer into the kitchen as I can only listen to it via the net. If I get my speakers set up I will be able to hear it though in the kitchen if I turn the volume up because at present all I can do is plug earphones into the sound card.

I get to listen to Sean's show mabye for half an hour a day, on my drive home. I've always found him to be too confrontational, or rather his propensity to have guests that will go at each other. His tv show is even more like that and I can't watch unless there's someone I really want to see. But that doesn't happen often.
Although, he is on our side and he fights the good fight, which I appreciate, just don't like that kind of radio or tv much.

I agree, Sean is definitely on our side, but his knees are subject to rapid jerking at a moments notice :-)

I get irritated sometimes when he ends up with his guests in a bun fight but I do not know why there is something about Sean I quite like most times I enjoy watching his show.
As I said never heard the radio show apart from about 10 mins a couple of years ago so cannot comment but would guess that he could be worse on that.

Thats probably the best way of putting it Mike he does knee jerk without thinking first. When he does this he comes over as looking rather immature.

Sean is definitely a good hearted guy, but he is not somebody whom I think is a man of conviction. But he did a lot to help GWB in 2004, so I will always appreciate him for his efforts to defeat John Kerry

I think Sean could improve his radio show tremendously if he wouldn't repeat things so much, and interrupt his guests with who the guests will be that night on tv. He makes me think of a friend who you do like despite the annoying things he does!

Great. This has been a great two days, and things are only going to get more intriguing from here.
You're one of the awesome band of conservatives who can still support the President, though there might be a disagreement or two.
I've got a bond with Bush, formed in the tears and fire of 9/11. I won't walk out on this man and will give him the benefit of the doubt, when in doubt.

I love to drop in, but don't always have the time to post and/or say hello.
Things have literally been chaos since I first came back to AZ in September and ithas just been one thing after another and most of it has been quite good, but good stress is still stress...
I hope you don't mind a few pix of my favorite good stress...
This is my daughter and a scan of the Mother's Day card for snugs:
This is the most freakish in coincidental events. You see, it was the tag on my Mother's Day gift. It was my first Mother's Day as a grandma and my first Mother's Day as a mommy was so sad because I had lost my own mom during the pregnancy and had the post-partum depression and could barely walk after the most agonizing torture of having my first child.
The oddity is that the brand name is the names of my son and of my mom...
And here is my adorable grandson, who managed to make the first Mother's Day for my DIL one of the happiest memories for all of us...
He is working on hitting for the cycle by making sure all major milestones are on memorable days and he literally learned to sit up on his own overnight...

Lotta truth there. I was thinking today that, with all the class, patience and decency of Pres. Bush and all his administration, especially those who have to endure the attacks from the press, what's so striking is the CONTRAST between the Bushies and the Rats and media that's being revealed and reinforced daily to the American public through this presidency.
The graciousness of these people under the most scurrilous non-stop attacks shows people a lot ... the fact that they refuse to sink to the level of their attackers speaks volumes about their individual and collective character ... the unflinching character which is the hallmark and the standard of this President. This decency cannot be faked, and it will have enduring positive returns.

the awesome band of conservatives who can still support the President, though there might be a disagreement or two Exactly. I certainly don't agree with President Bush on every issue, but I don't expect to agree 100% with any other human being on this planet. He's human and imperfect, like all of us. But regardless of the issue I will never put up with the bashing, on FR or anywhere else. There are definitely no alternatives that I would prefer. This presidency is one of greatness, and I believe history will show that.
