Not Her Strong Suit [Katherine Harris]

Last Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris attended a ceremony with the president of the United States at MacDill Air Force base in Tampa.
It was a critical moment in her campaign for the U.S. Senate, a race her own Republican Party leadership doesn't believe she can win. Her ensemble: a body-hugging, sea foam green suit with lace trim, slit skirt, green open-toed slingback shoes and a multistrand pearl choker.
On Wednesday, state House Speaker Alan Bense declined the GOP's pleas to take Harris on, making her the party's leading Senate candidate. But it seemed people were talking more about that green outfit than any other campaign issue.
They talked about its tightness. Its greenness. Its laciness. And those shoes. They talked about how it might have been a lovely getup for a wedding. Or a garden party. Or perhaps a nice private dinner out.
But she was appearing at an official function at a time one might have thought she was seeking to convey gravitas, not girlishness.

That's interesting to hear, since that's how men assume women vote (who's "cuter").

Great post and exactly on target! Katherine Harris is our candidate and we MUST stand with her and support her! Anyone who personally hears her speak can't help be impressed by her knowledge of issues, her confidence and her personality. We need to help her get others to understand Bill Nelson IS NOT A MODERATE! Nelson's voting record is to the left of Hillary and Chuck (ugh)Schumer!
We NEED a true Republican Senator to represent Florida.

Thank you for the encouraging response from a person who lives in our State and knows what we really are facing from the "Drive-By" L.S.M's vicious attacks on K.H.'s personality, including a few so called out of State professed "conservatives" detractors posting here, rooting for bill nelson's campaign!
Here's another quotation from Kathrine Harris in her letter:
"As a Republican and outspoken conservative, I have given up my safe Congressional seat and volunteered to challenge freshman U.S. Senator and liberal Democrat Bill Nelson."
That is an action that every real conservative voters in Florida should be proud of, and then be in total support of the "mucho grande" senora. 2000 is six years ago,-(it is now time to move ahead)- but certainly a year where K.H. probably prevented alGore from stealing the President election from George W. Bush!??! Can anybody in his/her right mind conceive the thought that alGore would be sitting in the White House at this very moment? I don't think I could sleep safely at night with that scary possibility??
Florida, as a red State, should NOT have any problems with electing a new conservative Senator to replace an all time Floridian liberal, with a voting record on par with the 'swimmer", hitlery, jSkerry and chucky shumer, etc.
But we MUST all unite around K.H.' candidacy for this to happen!!
Here's another quote from K.H.:
"Nelson has wrongly called my role in the 2000 recount 'notorious'....While just about every Republican I know from Governor Jeb Bush to President George W. Bush think of my steadfastness and truthful adherence to the law as nothing short of heroic.
Predictably, their false rhetoric and disingenuous accusations will fall on deaf ears as occurred in Governor Bush's and President Bush's overwhelming re-elections.
That's why I intend to run this campaign on issues that matter: Leadership, Honesty, and Integrity."
Now those last word was exactly what Kathrine Harris showed in 2000 and applied it to the law. SHE DESERVES ALL OF OUR FULL SUPPORT IN DEFEATING bill nelson, who has done nothing in D.C. to benefit our State, except showing up at Cape Canaveral with jSkerry dressed in a aqua color jump suit!!!
"Truth be known, these hard-core liberal activists view defeating me on Election Day as an extension of defeating the conservative agenda you and I share.
As I have proudly told every one of my supporters, no one will out-campaign me, no one will out-work me, and they're not going to out-vote us either.
Today, as I run the race of my life for the U.S. Senate with every liberal Democrat in America knowing my name and gunning for my defeat, I know I can count on the same loyalty from grassroots supporters like you as President Bush, Governor Bush, and the Republican Party has been able to count on from me.
As Florida's Secretary of State, I stood my ground against a liberal onslaught. Today I'm giving up my safe Republican seat to challenge a liberal Democrat and I need your support. Please help me!"
It is now time for all conservatives in the nation to join us Floridian grassroots for K.H.'s election success by supporting her with all our soul and mind, etc., including we invite all you Freeper detractors to join us in unity for a conservative victory. It is NOT time now to follow the examples of the "drive-by" L.S.M.'s attacking Ms. Harris!!! For more info, please see my post 101, thanks

This nasty article has inspired me to write another check to the Harris Campaign.
The more the liberal media attacks her....the more I want her to be my Senator!

When they catch her in just the right (wrong) pose, her countenance looks a bit haggish. Maybe the showy outfit is to keep attention away from her face.
I've yet to see a photo of her, or in person at an appearance (been to several), where she doesn't look severe or sour faced. Sorry, just the way it is. Nice chesticles do not always make up for or hide a sourpuss face.
As for leadership, she's the quiet kid in class that get's by with a solid 'C' in high school, she's not the second coming of Reagan or Thatcher. Unfortunately, she'll have to rely on something in to win in November, I'm afraid she, or her handlers, aren't going to be able to figure out what 'it' is in time.

If you make comments about the way female LIBERAL politicians look (and LOTS of comments to be made), the media would not stand for it. I guess it's ok as long as we are jumping on Katherine Harris (a tempting thought, by the way).
To: bondjamesbond
My goodness, to read the article I pictured something entirely different. This IS Florida, after all -- heat & humuidity. I had to look twice to see the shoes had open toes. She sure is tiny. Size 0 or 2?
To: Unicorn
She is the real deal!
Isn't it wonderful that we have someone that we can proudly vote for...without regret.

Jeb Bush trashed her last week
Why, did she come out for stronger border enforcement?
To: danamco
I heard she was on CNBC this morning and he!! has frozen over -- she wants more stringent border enforcement.

That is was Maxine Waters saying it. When was the last time she agreed with the GOP House on anything?
To: zerelda
The strumpets in the Demcorat Party can appear in any garb they choose and nothing is said.
Nobody makes unkind comments in th epress about Helen Thomas' face, or Nancy Pelosi's etc.
Yet they have the nerve to attack Harris.
Why?
She's Republican, she's conservative, and she helped get Bush elected.
I remember how these vile scum attacked Dan Quayle's wife - a very attractive, intellignet woman. Their idea of beauty is that old communict hag in a Nehru blouse, Hillery Clinton.
The failure of the Republicans to close ranks around and support Kathleen Harris is a perfect example of their ideological bankruptcy.
There is nothing wrong with the Republican philosophy - just too many of the people who claim to deliver it.
