I live the problem here in California and respectfully, you haven't a clue about the expenses, danger and problems illegals have brought to us.

Diseases to our children that we long ago had gotten rid of.
14k each a year times the many millions of illegal children to educate. Probably in CA near 9 billion a year.
Closed hospitals.
Many jails having to be built to house the 50% increase in violent crimes on citizens by illegals now in jail.
Uninsured cars turning our roads into parking lots.
Criminal gangs, drugs, ghettos forming.

They also enable less competition among many industries in the states because owners won't use citizens in jobs and by law people in many industry have to have as much as 7 years of work history to get state licenses.
When you make slave labor out of things like construction, it takes away all the competition in the industry for people already licensed and general contractors enabling monopolies.
Also makes entire sections of future industries only Latino, because they are not tolerant and only hire people who are like themselves.

There is nothing good in the Presidente's speech today at all for Americans.

That was another point the President made that was nothing but blowing smoke up our skirts. Something about the illegals being just as upstanding as anyone else.

If that is so why, out of 11 million illegals, are 30% of our prison population illegals? Compared to the other two thirds coming from the 295 million of us who are legal citizens or otherwise. Doesn't add up.

Thanks for the respect. I too have lived in California and still have family and friends there An uncle of mine has been in law enforcement in LA County his whole life.

It's a big country with a lot of different viewpoints though. I think Bush has shown leadership and brought this discussion before us. Would like to see him get some credit.
