In that meeting they said they had no intention of enforcing our immigration laws. Rep Culberson said he held his tongue but immediately wrote Pres Bush saying this is poor policy. He claims to have tried to talk to Bush about this many times but was continually rebuffed. Pres Bush's speech tonight I'm afraid is nothing but pablum for the masses and PR to show he is doing something when in actuality there is nothing going on behind the curtain.The numbers say it all:
2000 (Clinton's last year) Over 10,000 fines imposed on businesses for violating immigration law.
2005 Only 3 fines imposed on businesses for violating immigration law.
I have supported W on so much, but on illegal immigration he is actually doing an exponentially WORSE job than Billy Bentwilly did. That really pi$$e$ me off.
