I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.

It is certainly the most anticipated speech.

You are probably correct but I don't expect the President to lay out any new or different policy tonight.

He will most likely reiterate what he has said before on the matter.

I fear it will be a lame, half-hearted attempt at promising to tighten the borders (meaning we tell Mexico where we have no patrols), and promising Amnesty for those who are here illegally.

After five years-four months, President Bush and the GOP Congress have done little, if anything to better secure the borders and enforce existing employer sanctions for hiring illegals. Bush is obviously pandering to his conservative base, in the hopes they'll come back and support him once again. Doesn't sound like leadership to this conservative. Sounds like this maybe a con-job from Bush and his merry band of Bushie`s.... Karl Rove, Josh Bolton and Tony Snow.

I've been suprised, (ie the ground zero speech) before but I'm expecting to be let down.

Someone has been giving GWB very bad advice for the last 2 years and its not Cheney, Condi or Rumsfeld.
