I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.

OK, I have been as critical as anyone regarding the Bush Administration policies on border enforcement and illegal immigration, but I will say that I like what I'm hearing, the President has stated that he is against amnesty, and he is seeking (what is going to be the key phrase in the days to come) "a rational middle ground" between amnesty and mass deportations.
What President Bush is proposing sounds reasonable and sound, and he has my support for now.
But as President Reagan said, and it applies to the implementation of ANY government policy (as well as the old Soviet Union), "Trust, but Verify".
I will trust President Bush on this, but I want to see verification and I believe even he would say that such a sentiment is more than reasonable.
More and more, I am very suspicious of why the Bush-Clintons are so tight.
Having a copy of Compromised staring at me in my bookshelf, I am always wondering if, after almost 20 years (yes, 20 YEARS!) of a Bush or Clinton in the White House, its time for some new blood.
So what are the poll numbers gonna do now?!??
Not an amnesty??? HAHAHAH... Who is he kidding?!?!
This tear jerking story is making me gag!
Middle of the road is all we wanted/expected from Republican Government.
NONE, my family heritage is in Texas where I'm from and apparently some of my family cameover from England when this country was founded.
Did some white college girl go missing around there?
Not much longer the promised land. W just turned it into the United States of MExico.
That's a large part of my outrage over this issue. Our "overlords" don't really need to worry about that ugly little angle.
How about the methedrine, cocaine, heroin, Mexico pumps in here. If our border was controlled for the last decade this would have been greatly reduced
I agree with you, but half the posts on this thread are by a bunch of racist jerks.
There is little that can be done since Bush is a lame duck.
Get used to sharing the results of your efforts with Mexico's poor.
The candidate's stance on illegal immigration needs to be known before voting.
Bye ... bye Miss American dream. Citizens drove their Chevy to the levee and got their clock cleaned!
Good night Mrs. Calabash ... where ever you are.
He is just setting it up so Bush P. can win the White House after 20 years of Dems holding it.
I think you and I are the only freepers who believe this...LOL
My Response is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Here's a little something you should watch. It's a real eye opener for all of you RINOS!
