It appears that we've reached the end of the diplomatic road on Iran.

When Europe starts a country from scratch, and in less than 150 years that nation becomes the strongest, wealthiest, most innovative, most productive, and most generous in the world's history, then we just might heed their advice.
Until then, Europe should stick to making cheese and adult beverages to satisfy the American palate.

Europe restates support for Iran nuclear power If Europe would only start supporting nuclear power IN EUROPE, then we might finally be getting somewhere.
To: BlazingArizona
as much as i agree with your sentiment, they've got nukes.

They shouldn't be allowed anything nuclear period. That kind of arrangement didn'twork with North Korea and it won't work with Iran. Agreements only work when both parties are trustworthy and neither of them even come close.

Next, you will see six European foreign ministers in $3000 Italian suits jumping around on pogo sticks in the middle of an urban residential street, chanting "Mhammad, Mhammed he's our man, he can't prophet no one can!"
Then Jack Straw will appear on Larry King to announce his conversion to Islam.
An Iranian spokesmen will be interviewed by CNN, and will look decidedly peeved. He will wag his head slowly and mutter "they didn't even ask 'how high', infidel dogs."

No. We are bluffing, they know it, so they are going to get nuclear weapons. We are all going to watch.
Don't anybody tell me nothing so awful could be allowed to happen, or I'll bring up the fact that American citizens deliberately gave atom bombs to Stalin because they hated capitalism.
This is par for the present insanity. And yes, hell will be paid, in full.

if the Islamic republic agrees to international controls to ensure it will not build atomic weapons. I am sure it will be signed with the same pen that signed the agreement with N. Korea. I am also sure it will be monitored by the globalists who oversaw the Oil for Food program.
In short, I ain't buyin this for a minute.
To: JasonC
there is a valid comparison to made between muslims and communists. it stops at the 'blow myself up' point though...

When Europe starts a country from scratch, and in less than 150 years that nation becomes the strongest, wealthiest, most innovative, most productive, and most generous in the world's history, then we just might heed their advice. That is funny. You sound pretty pi**ed. If America want to solve the problem alone, we Europeans are really happy if you start doing it. Dealing with those mullahs (no matter if diplomatically or millitary) is a rather unpleasant business. Usually we prefer countries with good wine and nice girls in bathing suites. BTW - Europe is not really in danger of Iranian nukes since we have no real conflict with them. We are simply not their enemies until now. Their logical targets are Israel and -to a certain extend through crazy terrorism- the US. Since Europe is under the British and French nuclear umbrella, it does not matter strategically to the Iranians if they nuke New York or i.e. Berlin or Paris. They are going to be smoldering dust anyway if they will start such an attack.
Besides of that we started several times to rebuild our countries from complete scratch after the world wars and in less than 50 years we managed to do quite well again. We even changed our doctrines and values in a fundamental way and are i.e. far from ever burning our own soil again. Nowadays nobody in Europe is really interested in the Superpower-role anymore (maybe exept of the Frogs). The benefit from it would be near zero for us and the costs are immense. We prefer normal business in the meantime.
Although I really like your country and the American lifestyle I would never trade it in for my own home. Sorry. I do nat say that in a unfriendly manner. It is just a fact that there are quite a few places outside the US that provide real good conditions for a nice way of living. :-)

Bump that!
Iran is sitting on a lake of oil -- energy is not a problem.
Iran is run by wild-eyed jihadists.
I'm almost sorry we saved Europe in the last Century. The world would be a better place if the British Empire could have survived, but as for the rest of Europe - blech!

Isn't that what was said last week, last month, two months ago, three months ago, six months ago, a year ago, etc, etc, etc?
How many times are we going to say "We really mean it this time!"?
Maybe we'll just put Iran on 'Double secret probation' next time?

I'm not pi**ed at all. I just know that America is the greatest country in this world's existence. This is nothing more than a fact. It does not dismiss some contributions from some European nations. But those Europeans who think their precious "continent" is the exemplar of civilization are sadly deluded.
I will never quiet my voice when speaking of America.
