While the media focuses on handwritten notations by the Vice President on a newspaper article, there is much more to be gleaned from late Friday’s court filings in the Libby case. The spin says that damaging new evidence has surfaced. But the filings by Fitzgerald reveal how rapidly his case is sinking.
Discovery in legal cases is rather like playing the old game “Battleship” where you can surmise from your opponent’s responses to your blind probes where he is hiding his fleet. So you can sink it. Scooter Libby’s legal team is playing the game masterfully and as the latest filings late Friday show, Fitzgerald’s fleet is taking on a lot of water. News articles as evidence

They are nuts, at least most of them. I think it's important to know what they're saying and thinking, though, so I look in there. Mostly, it's what I call "the panic of the day." Every day they have something new to panic about.
The language is horrific, and the prominence of radical feminism is significant. There's a lot of angry old women there that life left behind.

If you knew who she was, how he got the pro-bono gig and decided to "get her" you wouldn't ask what Cheney is alledged to have asked.
More significantly the VP had underlined all the substantive lies in the piece, underscoring Libby's claim that it was the substance of Wilson's fairytale that he was focused on, not the bit about Plame which was , after all, just the reslish on the buffet sized plate.
